Little Rock nice way of storing your lovely bag collection. I always keep all my designer bags in their dustbags they come in and store them in a cool place in my closet away from direct heat and sunlight.
I would love to know how some of you store your Nikkis so that they are visible and not in their dustbags. I have shelves for my MAMs but can't find a way to view my Nikkis. I've tried hanging them but I'm scared it's going to mess up the strap.
I have a new shelving unit that my DF got me to store my bags better, woot!! This was purchased at Target for about $178 I think.. not bad!! I plan on getting some deeper baskets for the underneath to put all my clutches, wallets and SLGs in..
I must say, it's pretty nice to wake up to a rainbow in my bedroom every morning. My DF thinks of it as a piece of art.. LOL.
littlerock, the variety in your collection is remarkable and they look so beautiful on your new shelving. I love it. I'd love to be able to look at all my bags like that.
Looks fantastic, LR!! And ITA w/ your DF...it IS art!!
My collection is not as awesome, nor is my storage system, but I did take some pics a bit ago and hopefully you will find them helpful. We live in a very old townhouse with three floors. I use the guest bedroom closet on the third floor as my bag and small leather goods closet. Since it's an older house and doesn't have proper closet hardware built in, we put one of those industrial silver metal coat racks/shelving systems in the closet. I then bought a couple of hanging linen sweater shelves from The Container Store, and that's where I keep my bags in their dust bags, and my SLGs go in little wire baskets up top. In order to keep everything organized and so that I know what's inside of each dust bag, I made little labels with all of the necessary info. on them and I stick them on the sides of the linen shelves where they are most visible:
(And yes, I am a massive dork. I will cop to that).
