Yes, ITA that it's not a big deal, but I don't rotate my bags much. I get really into one bag and carry it for a few months. To unpack all my junk and repack it every night into the same bag does seem like a *bit* of work. I'm pretty darn lazy though! I'm sure that since the bag is already taking wear from standing on its feet or being hung from the back of chairs when I go out, a few extra hours at night aren't going to hurt it. :)

I'm going to reuse the paper that came in the bag. Is it acid free usually? It's just tan colored thick paper.

I keep my bags on a closet shelf, hanging on a couple of hooks on each side of my closet, and underneath in my nightstand. i'm nice to them, but i don't baby them. i hope i'm not hurting them too bad. :-)

LOL! I'm like that too! I keep bags, extra shoes, change of gym clothes all in the car trunk! I have very limited space for groceries/household shopping. :laugh:

I bought a metal shelf closet on wheels (covered with canvas cloth) to store all my bags to keep cat out of bags. All bags are stuffed, and in their respective dustbags. I try to rotate the bags but I do tend to use my RM bag the most. I also lined the metal shelves with cardboard to prevent bags from being permanently "lined" by shelves.

I love it! I have this image of one of those watch hawkers in NYC who opens a trench coat and there's hundreds of watches (or in this case, purses) lined up. I'd be paranoid about that b/c it gets hot in the trunk! I'm also paranoid about theft ever since I saw an episode of Sex in the City when SJP got mugged and all the mugger wanted were her manolos and not the money in her purse, but her actual purse! (although I'd be impressed if a thief could recognize an RM)

Thanks everyone for your tips, sounds like stuffing is the way to go. Now, how to obtain an 2nd closet.....

Another one who stuffs and stores upright in dustbag. Usually bags I get come already stuffed with tissue from the store, so I just use that for storage. I hang some up, but I make sure to hang them in their dustbags, by the drawstrings, so I don't damage the handles.

I stuff ALL of my bags and have a special armmoir (free standing closet) that houses all my bags.

I only use the air puff bags (used for packing/ shipping) to stuff my bags. They are perfect! You can get them at any packing supply store or in my case my office has a them on supply! I couldn't even imagine not keeping my bags stuffed!! And yes- I keep them upright : )

I have different types of storage for the different types of bags I have:shame:. I have a bookcase that has been in my family forever and I use that to store my RM, MJ, LV, F&C, Coach, and various others, as well as a woven storage basket for accessories like wallets and coin purses. I store them all fully stuffed and in their dustbags to keep them in their shape and clean (I get them dirty enough just banging around w/ them:push:). I keep all of my Balenciaga bags in a storage shelving unit with drawers to keep the dust and light away from them. They have such delicate leather and the colors can fade so easily that I get paranoid and almost hide them away when I don't use them (plus when I get a new one hubby does not notice:okay:).

I would love to see pics if any of you have any:yes:. I will take some too.

2nd row to the left is dedicated to my MAM and my Charles David handbag. Since it has a glass door I didnt need to put it inside the dustbag.. The dustbag is inside the bag.. My PLAN B is stuffed in one of those big boxes on top of the shelf.. She's too big to fit in one of the rows..

My one and only balenciaga city sits beside my LVs.. I normally use Raggedy Ann to separate them just so there wont be any color transfer between the LVs and the Balenciaga...Im using her now so she's not in the picture.
