This August my family are relocating to Singapore from Western Australia and I’m planning on taking the below bags over with me.
Currently I store my bags in their dust bags in my wardrobe and have never had any issues, but going to such a humid climate I’m worrying about mould etc. Is there any advice / tips people can give on how to care for my bags over there? Thanks in advance!!

I live in Shanghai which is pretty humid as well and I have a bigger collection here than what you plan to take with you and never had any issues. I have my bags in rotation though, so I check them regularly and I do keep them in a ventilated wardrobe. If you check them out from time to time and use them, they will be fine.

On our last trip to Singapore, I happened to ask someone in the Prada Ion Orchard store if they carried any cervo bags. The staffer there said, no, partly because they didn't have anything new in that particular leather at the moment and also because cervo doesn't do well in a humid environment.

I had mold on two beautiful barenia pieces in Singapore and they were not salvageable and learnt my lesson that those sachets were not enough. Get a dehumidifier in your wardrobe or room where you keep your bags and you are fine. I keep my winter wardrobe in the same room too so my knits and coats don’t get musty. Because of the humidity you don’t have to worry it will be too dry, that’s impossible to achieve here in SG. Good luck with your move.

Summer is approaching and inside room is going to be hot, especially in my house where there are lots of windows (they're closed most of the time). Wondering how do you store your bags? I understand that perhaps some of you guys would use aircon at night but what about when you're not home? You can't be running aircon 24/7 or put them on temperature controlled room right? How about places so hot like Arizona/Vegas/Saudi? Or humid places like Singapore/Thailand/Malaysia/Philliphine? Would like people to share their tips on storing their bags to prolong our beloved bags please!

I sell the bags i dont use on heavy rotation. And stay away from full leather bags or leather interior bags LOL

I stay in humid country and i am sick of the molds growing even though i leave the bags out near window or well ventilated space.

I use nylon, canvas or raffia/straw bags now

do you run aircon or the bags get much ventilation at all? I'm curious to know

I've lived in Taiwan and understand what it feels like to not have air con on. My parents are also very frugal and when I lived with them, they almost never used air con.

At home, we only turn on the air con during the hottest hours of the day, maybe from around 3-6pm, but that's when it gets over 80F.
I'm fortunate to live in California where it is dry, but honestly sometimes it's too dry and I have to have a humidifier when I sleep.
My bags are in the bed room, left out on shelves, not in their boxes or dust bags. Since they're also where we sleep so I try to make sure the humidifier is on only when I need it, so that I don't get a mold issue and the vent in our bathroom is always on the pull in the humidified air away from the bags. We have an air purifier in our room that gets turned on during the day. I feel that it helps circulate the air in the room, and keeps it fresh.

Maybe consider an air purifier?

I leave my a/c on auto and turn on the vent in my bathroom which is in my room when I shower or when the window is open. My leather bags also stay in dust bags with the opening slightly open. I haven’t noticed any change in the appearance of my bags.
