How do you keep your bag's shape?

Yes, I find that's the best way to keep them. My leather Birkins are all togo, and I've heard that they keep their shape more easily than clemence or other more slouchy leathers. In terms of porosus, i never keep them upright, but always put them back on their pillows in the box.
Wondering if that is really the best way to go. Laying them down for extended periods of time just doesn't seem right ;-(

I think I must be the worst B owner ever. I don't keep my bags into the dust-bag, not into the box or anywhere. I just let them 'suntan' in the open. With nothing inside the bag! Standing up no less!!

After reading this thread, I guess I need to start loving my bags alittle more! :p:p

Don't keep mine in the dustbags either, want to look at them as often as possible ;-) Do have them stored in a closed cabinet though and I have easy access anytime I need them.

Are we talking about two different things here? One for storage and one for daily use? In my orange storage boxes, of course the baby goes back onto her pillow. But when I am using Togo girl, when I get home, I don't sit her upright. I always put her on her side to eliminate gravity from making her slouch. I have stiffer/veinless togo that does not slouch at all, and others that have the propensity to slouch. To avoid slouching, bag is on side, not on feet. Hope this helps. I find it does for me.

Yesterday it finally happened! I got my first Hermes call and I’m beyond excited! I wanted a Kelly for all my life and now I got offered one *yay* Only problem is, I always wanted a Sellier and the one I could have is a Retourne. I like the softer edges on the Retourne but I don’t like how especially older bags tend to loose their shape. Does someone of you guys use an organizer or a baseshaper for their Retourne? Will they help?

I have several Kelly 32 (only size I like) Retournes, some for a really long time and all of which look pretty much the same as the day I brought them home. Don’t overstuff them or carry them too long with the flap open, and definitely gently stuff and store on her back in the dust bag. None of mine slouch. I also have Selliers. The Retournes are much easier to carry every day and much harder to bang up. IMO.
