How do y’all handle rude comments on social media (or in real life) about your LV bags?

I used to have a large following on IG, can’t remember but I think I had close to 50,000 followers and I got so sick of nasty rude comments I decided to delete my IG account permanently and at first I missed it but honestly it was the best thing I done, I don’t have any social media now and I’m so much happier…… I would try to ignore these trolls because they thrive on you replying and interacting with them, just don’t give them the time of day.

thank you!! i need to get thicker skin for sure!! if it was someone i know, then maybe i can reply but it's useless to argue with trolls!! thanks so much for your input.

Mine was someone I knew, she’d been stalking me for months and I didn’t know it, she posted some really horrible things on her IG about me but I also used to get the odd nasty comment from strangers….. Strangers I could handle but when it’s someone you know, that was the final straw

WOW!! that's insane!!! why are people like that? i'm sorry someone you KNEW acted that way towards you!!!

Posting and boasting about our bags come with good and bad attention. You gotta have the thick skin to deal with them if you're going to choose to share your luxe bag achievements. MANY will be happy for/ with you and that number will outweigh the negative/ bad comments. The bad will always be:
1. Petty comments
2. Miserable comments
3. Your bag is fake comments
4. Jealousy comments

Laugh and shrug it off.

I don't have any social media accounts. TPF is as close as I get to conversing online with strangers. Lol. And the reason I like it here is because we all share the love of luxury items, although there are sometimes nasty comments. I do watch You Tube videos and maybe you should check out the nasty comment videos by Autumn Beckman. She always says the nasty comments say more about the person posting. She also gives some good advice on how to view and interpret these comments. She is a teacher and I believe she has a psychology background. I feel like I always learn something from her videos. Check her out! And take a stranger's comments with a grain of salt. If you allow it to bother you, you will go crazy since everyone has something to say. It's easy to hide behind a keyboard and tear people down but these people have no impact on your life. Enjoy your bags!

Social Media always got 2 sides. It you let your profile as public ofc people will comment and ofc some of the comments might come as rude or are even rude and mean. The comment that this person made wasn't even that rude to be honest. I mean she could say it nicer tho, however it's your bag and what only does matter if you love it and like it!
If you don't want that this happens again I recommend you to switch to private.

Same! I do like unboxings as I don't live close to many of the boutiques and it's nice to see what the bag looks like, and what it holds.
That's the only reason I watch those! I like to hear the pros and cons, see what it holds and see mod shots. I don't live near a boutique either and if I go to one, they rarely have what I am looking for in stock.

I can see how people get a high from it. Alluding to what you said, it's probably a psychological thing.

But I'm just impatient. Just show me what you got! lol :P

i like them also! i feel like you can really see how something looks when someone it touching it and moving it around! i also like to see how the item looks in someone hand's and i think videos give you a better idea of the material, too! also, everyone is usually very happy in unboxing videos and it makes me smile.
