How do I bring a bag to my college graduation??

Mine was so long ago I can't remember what I did! I don't remember carrying anything in my hands - I might have had a small shoulder bag under my gown or left it with my parents or in the car... I know I couldn't have left it on my seat because the way ours were done you didn't return to the same seat!

At my grad. I bought my usual purse and so did my b.f.f. we just left in the trunk of our car. Clutch wouldn't fit all my stuff so I didn't bother with that. You can always leave your stuff with your fam. I'm pretty sure you will meet them afterwards and they can give you your purse. Congrats on your graduation :woohoo:

oh, man. I'm still clueless as to what I'm going to do. I'm thinking of trying to wear a little something under my dress but if I'm going to do that, I want to buy something I will want to wear time and time again! But it's next Friday so I don't have hardly any time! hmmm

What about a Louis Vuitton Pouchette? That would be something cute I could probably double later on as a little carrying case to have inside one of my big bags, I don't know. Or something to just run around with. hmmmm.... just thought I'd share my decision process!! haha

for my college graduation I brought my handbag, but let my family hold it while I was getting my degree. then after for the reception I took it back. maybe you can do it that way?

For graduation, the last thing I want to burden myself is to carry a handheld handbag/clutch. Instead, I would carry a SMALL shoulder bag or a cross body messenger bag to hold the "essentials" that help me stay comfortable during the long and uncomfortable process under a hot sun (usually). Examples of the essentials are: a paper fan (or the small plastic one that runs on battery), sunglasses, a water bottle, and a cell phone. A cell phone is a must, because you need to find your parents at the end of the ceremony when there is usually kaos from excitement and eagerness to join loved ones.
Make sure you wear very light clothing, because it can be extremely hot and stuffy under the long and breatheless gowns. I heard one year some girl wore a bikini underneath her gown to stay cool. Every graduate who found out about the incident praised this girl for being smart.

Hmm... I can't remember what I did for undergrad! I think I just left my bag on my seat when I went up for the diploma! But then again, it was undergrad, so I think I knew like 90% of the people sitting around me from the past 4 years and I trusted them!

I am graduating from grad school this sunday, so I bought one of the small messenger type Gryson bags from Target to use under my gown just for the day. I don't really know the people in grad school as much since I went at night - so I'm not sure I'd trust everyone around me! i haven't tried it on with my gown yet - but i hope it works and doens't look TOO lumpy :-)

I brought a wristlet because I refused to be without lipgloss! (big surprise)...
We were also provided with water bottles at our seat so I didn't need to bring anything really...then again we all went back to my place before going out to dinner so I didn't have to worry about it.

LOL, she definitely earned her degree. very smart

My graduation unfortunately was pouring rain and they still insisted on have the ceremony under these huge tents.

it was humid and stuffy under that tent. Not to mention that my hair was ruined with frizz. plus my shoes had water in them. it really sucked.
