Horrible Experience At Chanel Hirshleifers

I guess with the pandemic and limited number of people allowed in, they still have to make sales and “having a look at the leathers” is like stop wasting my time to a SA. May be if you really had the intent to buy then ask them to bring out both lamb and caviar so you/friend can decide which one.
But its their job to show us items , how else are people suppose to buy. Are we suppose to just buy anything and not waste their time, lol. Not everyone is a chanel fanatic and buying just because they put a cc logo on it. Some people actually want to see what stock they have. And their job to show us what we want regardless if the intent to purchase is there or not! :panic::tup:
 
Totally understand the feeling to vent. I’ve seen that similar “look on her face” from the SA. It sucks thinking that we are there to spend money but get treated as though we’re asking for a favor from someone who’s not even nice to us.

They are miserable ( chanel and Hermes and high end department store associates) they should find other jobs if they dont want to be pleasant to customers. It’s their only job, it’s like do your job right with a pleasant demeanor and happy faces, dont need to see your long sour salty faces. lol. Then they wonder why no one wants to even go to the boutiques anymore. We dont need to spend our money with salty negative SA’s...or a company like chanel who doesnt value every customer regardless of what they spend. This goes for every brand out there!!!

Although there are nice SAs out there, it’s getting harder and harder to find one! If I had the option of buying online directly from these brands, they would get so much more money out of me :lol:

It’s the worst store in America. They have horrible business practices, no stock, rude associates and even more aggressively rude management/owners. (Don’t let their IG accounts fool you). I fully pre paid for a bag weeks in advance of launch date of 21S. (Classic flap) and one day before official launch, they canceled my order and refunded with no real explanation. Marci -co-owner - got on the phone and said to me “ do you even know their is people out there collecting these bags? Their is no way you were guaranteed one”. (the SA said I was 1st on the reserve list and she also sent me a photo of the bag in the stock room packed and ready to go). Her attitude was disgusting and I’m sure she sold it to a VIP who saw the “hype” on social media. I can’t believe they are even authorized to sell Chanel. They are horrendous. Sorry- you had a bad experience. You aren’t alone. Google them. I would never give them my business again.

I also want to mention that I had contacted an SA there AFTER they had cancelled your bag, and she first said “we don’t have any spots left.” Then proceeded to tell me later on the same day that she had one spot left. Something just did not feel right about it - so I did not go through with the reservation/deposit. I have the texts to prove it with the date and time lol. To clarify, this was when I was waiting on one that I had reserved at another store and was worried that my reservation would not go through, so was trying to be proactive and secure the bag. I ended up getting it from the original store I reserved at... thank God lol. I just wanted to share this because I think people need to be aware... I would avoid them at all costs. Plus the return policy is ridiculous.

Shame on chanel and all of these companies for treat people like this! They need to check themselves pandemic or not. It’s so backwards of them to check people’s temperature, who are they medical doctors , did they go to med school only to be security or SA’s or managers of a store, lol? And the squirting of the sanitizer, who knows if their sanitizer is expired or even kept hygienic. This is getting ridiculous. And the sales associates need to stop and show us the entire store if we want them to , it’s their job!!! Hello!!!
I dont mind they check temperatures or give us sanitisers, but respect should be given both from the SA and the client. I worked in luxury retail and to come across rude obnoxious clients for no reason when you are being polite is not nice. Both parties need to deal with each other kindly.

My exact same thoughts after I read that particular comment. Checking temperatures and applying hand sanitizers are totally fine. The pandemic is still not over and we need to protect ourselves, whatever it takes. Anyone who does not want to comply with these simple “house rules” shouldn’t be out there.

I believe that SAs should treat all customers with due respect and give the best service they could, but we the customers should not look down on them either. A SA treated you poorly? Report them to management, leave a review online, share your experience here at TPF... but there’s no need to make fun of a SA’s background.

You are 100% right - both parties need to deal with each other kindly.
 
This thread has me really worried. I pre-paid for the neon blue mini flap from Hirschleifers at the end of February. I was told the bag will arrive anytime from March-June. I haven't heard anything from the SA and now I am worried I won't get the bag. I really dislike having to pay for the bag upfront, but I thought that at least secured me the bag.

You'll get the bag, don't worry. The neon minis are very delayed. My pink one just came in from Hawaii a few days ago. I don't think the neon blue mini (I know the medium is though) is even in the states yet. Hirsh actually gets a lot of items first I find.

Thanks for your reassurance! I have noticed that the Chanel Stock thread hasn't had a mini neon blue appear yet, so I was thinking the minis in the neon blue hadn't arrived yet too. Can't wait to get my bag! I will reply here when I get it. I purchased with Thomas and have purchased from him once before with no issues.

Of course!! They’re pretty great, I haven’t had issues with them. I usually buy from Marci but Thomas is really nice as well. I’m excited to see your mini!

Well the wait and everything is understandable because of all that's going on. I mean I went to LV and yeah sanitizer squirted at me and told to go with 1 SA who wanted to know exactly what I wanted to she could look it up on her phone. No browsing, no "let me show you X, X or X. Definitely not the same as I've come to expect but hopefully we will getting this all put behind us soon.

Sad about Hirsh. I got my first Chanel in there wow 12 years ago now, Single Flap Black Caviar Jumbo w/ Silver HW. Little Chanel newbie armed with only the info I had gathered here..lol. I haven't shopped there in forever since my fav SA ever left, she was amazing. I was left to the care her 2 assistants who now both are gone. Hmm.. maybe that does say something...
I got my first flap there too... I miss Penney! I don’t even bother with H anymore...
