You know something interesting happened. I was told I could use my 40% jax off on a sale item. She said it is now 82 dollars and I paid over the phone, when I got to the store, there was a wayyy different bag boxed and then I said- that is not the bag I ordered to come pick up, she then proceeded to say that they couldn't combine discounts. Call me crazy but I think that when manager realized of that transaction, since I wasn't there, they changed it on me and then fed me that story, I should of had that receipt emailed to me and not put in the bag, interesting I never got the original receipt either, since I said I didn't want that bag, coach SA kept it without me looking at.

Coach can do what they want to pricing, look at FOS or Coach Math, they can obliviously manipulate prices as they please. They can do transactions that they aren't supposed to do for example Friday I returned a FOS purchase to FP that was done via MC and CC, the SA overrides it and fully credits my CC. I agree, the Manager didn't want you to get the discount.

I hope you got your 40% off letter back.

I did, I just can't believe this happened. I wasn't going to make a scene or anything so I just returned the bags(bleecker daily on sale for 130+ and the kylee crossbody(that I never wanted to purchase) i got a crossbody chain Madison that wasn't on sale, they allowed me to use the letter on that.

It is annoying how inconsistent they can be at the stores about applying discounts etc. I have gotten to the point that I feel like they don't really care about making sales because the few times I have tried to use the FP store everything seems to be such a big deal. It is much easier to buy online or at department stores. Sorry you had that experience...that is disappointing.

I cant speak for them or imply that this was the reasoning, but I feel like in retail you go to a store that has a certain policy, lets just say hypothetically that Coach policy says you do not combine discounts, and remember this is hypothetical, because im not completely sure on that. As consumers we go to a certain location and the manager or whoever, makes an exception ust to make a sale, but then we go to another location and they refuse to do that and we get angry at them. I have been here to, its frustrating that one store will accommodate you but another wont, when in reality that second associate/manager is just keeping in policy and doesn't want to risk losing their job. It greatly disappoints me that some people would have someone risk their job/livelihood just to get 20% off a product.

Does FOS mean factory outlet sale? Will FP Coach stores accept a return of a factory outlet purchase?

As Customers we need to start taking up for the Employees. If you see a rude customer call them on it. They can't threaten to have us fired or written up. It is amazing how the behavior will stop when you let them know you will not tolerate it .. Too many people think they are entitled to treat others horribly because they think they can get away with it. My Daughter's School Principle had to call out a Celebrity on a School Field Trip . His assistant had more manners than he did. She became a Rock Star to the students that day!!

Well, I had already paid for it over the phone. In my case I didn't go demand anything. She asked for style# said it was on sale, I said I have a letter she then said it could be used on it, so I paid for it over the phone. But when I arrived it wasn't the bag I had given her the style #of. And then she retracted on the "letter not being able to use for it" ... It is odd yet I didn't make a big deal & just returned it. Bought something else.
