Lauryn 'Pumpkin' Thompson is pregnant with her first child at the age of 17.

The Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star announced the news on her Instagram on Monday morning.

The 17-year-old became engaged to her boyfriend Joshua Efird, 19, in December when Lauryn was still just 16 years old.

She went on to add: 'I'm really excited to be a new mom, but there is some challenges that I'm going to have to face. I'm really nervous about having a baby 'cause, I mean, it does have to come out of my hoo-ha.'

'My baby daddy's head is, like, the size of a freakin' watermelon, so imagine trying to push a watermelon out of your vagina. No, it's not OK!'

Lauryn's mother Mama June confirmed to TMZ that her daughter accepted a proposal from Josh, 19, when they went out to dinner on December 23.

The Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star planned, at the time, to marry Josh after she turned 18, and the couple were said to be saving themselves for their wedding.

Why would they want to escape? They have gained fame and have to keep it going by the only means they know. Scary. Without that whole Honey Boo Boo crap they all would be living in their single wide.

I mean they can't escape their roots as trailer trash. Even with all the money and fame from the show they are still making the kind of bad decisions they would have if it had never happened at all. In a few years all their money will be gone and they will be back where they started without having learned a damned thing from the experience.
