Honesty please...is the J12 past its prime?

No. I’ve had mine over 10 years and it hasn’t yellowed in the slightest. It’s pure bright white to this day. The ceramic is practically indestructible.

Thank you! :) This is really my key consideration as I’m quite scared of white anything in general. I only have budget for one so thinking of either a steel bracelet watch or this white ceramic J12. I haven’t found a steel one I like yet but I always feel steel bracelet watches are very versatile. I wear a lot of jeans and black dresses and pants so wondering if white ceramic would go well with most of my wardrobe. I don’t like to change watches much.

I will post some photos in a bit.

I have the white 38mm with diamond markers...Haven't worn it in a while but every time I think of letting it go, I take it out and just can't part with it. Still looks new and I have had it for at least 10 years... and did wear it more frequently when I first got it.

Do you wear it with everything or you have to limit to certain colors or styles in your wardrobe? I’m wondering if a white ceramic watch will go with black dresses or beige shades and more formal wear. The J12 seems like a more sporty casual watch to me even with diamond markers.

Here are the watches I tried on yesterday. I like the look of the white J12 a lot. I tried one with mop dial and diamond markers. I can’t remember what size this is though. It’s not the big version.

There are mini versions too but while I like the diamonds on the dial, I find it too small on me and they feel really light and almost flimsy? Haha.

I wear it with all colors but definitely more casually...When I did wear it alot, it was mostly also just in spring and summer.

I wear mine with anything and it goes. Although its quite distinctive but I love that about it. Its different. If I want stainless steel then I think of Cartier and Rolex. I have a Cartier but never quite bit the bullet on the Rolex because I love my J12 so much. Mine is 38mm with full diamond bezel so it isn't a quiet piece but that's what I love about it. I had the same thoughts when I purchased it, what will it go with, will it go out of style etc, but there isn't a day that goes by that I regret purchasing it and its increased in value almost triple to what I paid for it. Honestly it goes with anything and everything!

I have a 33mm white J12 with diamond markers. I bought it 10 years ago and I wear it daily. I also have a 31 mm Rolex with diamond markers and I rarely wear it. The J12 is so comfortable and after 10 years of almost daily wear, it still look brand new. If you like the watch, get it. It's a good investment if you wear it. :)

I've also had a 33mm white J12 with diamond markers for about three-four years and love it. It's fabulously understated esp. to the untrained eye (someone once thought it was a G-shock lol), I'm not afraid to travel with it, it goes with everything and it can really take a beating. Ceramic is as white as it was on day one and I probably wore it at least 300 out of 365 days a year. I wouldn't mind adding a black one to my collection at some point!

How is the quartz version holding up?

What do you ladies think of the phantom version (kind of silly to pay for a chanel watch that is just almost white and doenst look like chanel)? I like it becos it wld go with anything, dress up and down whereas the numerals one i feel leans abit sporty and i wear more dresses.. i have a black 38 mm with diamonds markers, i was thinking if i shld get 33mm white phantom or numerals version.. so torn!

With the price of quartz, even if along the years, an overhaul of quartz movement is needed, it wld still cost less than the automatic with maintenance? Lol

Most of the time they just dump the movement and replace it as the cost of the quartz movement is usually less than the cost of paying a technician to dissemble and diagnose the issue.
