If some kind person here can post picture of this ring from a site, I'd be so appreciative! I don't know how! It can be found on Michael C. Fina. It is a Hearts on Fire setting. Curious on people's opinions. It is a halo but isn't flush with center stone. There is space between halo and stone. Thanks so much to the person who wants to post link or picture.

Is it this one, Hoka? If so, it's beautiful! Found it from an online search...

mangowife - you're the best!!!! That is the one! My jeweler had the white gold one for $2900 - just the setting. But on the site, it has it listed for $3,600 in platinum. That doesn't seem to add up. I would think the platinum would cost more than $700 more. So I will call my jeweler tomorrow and tell him. Anyway, what do you think (and all others reading this!) about this setting? Thanks again for locating and posting picture.

I think it's stunning! When I first saw the pic it took my breath away just a tad...lol! Couple of new rings on here today! We'll atleast "I'm thinking about it" rings :) I just posted mine in "OMG OMG OMG". lol!

I LOVE white gold! I'm not a fan a plat. I kinda like the yellowish tint white gold get's after awhile. Maybe I'm just weird.

Stunning ring!

You're welcome, Hoka! It was easy to locate. =)

I think the ring is stunning. The proportions of the halo vs the center stone are very intriguing. I like that it is high set, and that there's a matching band that appears will sit flush next to it! Love!

OK - I called jeweler from yesterday. This ring pictured above (HOF halo repertoire) cost $2,800 in white gold and $3,600 in platinum. Which would you do and do you like the design?

There is also a recent thread bumped up from risingsun. She has a reset in a similar HOF mount. Her center stone is close in size to mine Which do you like more and thanks for all opinions!

i thought you were looking at tiffany rings? did you have a change of heart? i think this ring is pretty, but in general, i don't like rings that sit too high because i'm clutzy with my hands. it's pretty though.

I was looking at Tiffany rings for 2 weeks. They are positively beautiful and magnificent. I have not ruled it out. But I want to cover all options. If I went the Tiffany route, I'd be totally starting over. I already have an engagement ring that is not a Tiffany. It is a round stone, 1.25, VVS1 and "I" color that I've had for 18 years. It is in a platinum Tiffany-style setting with tapered baggettes on each side. If I purchase a 2nd diamond from Tiffany - it must be upgraded in some way whether it be size, color, clarity, etc. After going to the store 4 times, I'm still drawn to the round stones. But my budget doesn't allow me to go majorly bigger in size. So I'm exploring a reset of my original. Or I can still get a Tiffany but it would be somewhat of a lateral move. The great thing about Tiffany is that its a start and I can always upgrade later. This HOF setting looks more elevated in the photos but it is really quite level with the center stone and halo being even on height. Sorry for long post but at least I explained to everyone!

Hokapla, to be completely honest I like Risingsun's model better because of the following reasons:
- in her design the halo is more refined
- in this design the halo stones seems to be too large for the center stone
- I like the pave setting more in Risingsun's design

I like the ring you have selected but in my opinion it's not refined enough.
Good luck and have fun selecting your new ring. Have you thought about the possibility to upgrade via a regular jeweler that sells estate rings for example? You will get so much more diamond for your dollars compared to Tiffany's.

I hope I don't sound to harsh but you wanted an honest opinion and I wanted to be honest as you are such a nice person!!

Please ignore my post if this ring sings to you and if you are dreaming about it!!

Monica - You are not harsh at all! You are so helpful. I want people's advice here. I will continue to think, research, and figure this out. My mind is always changing. Watches are so much easier than rings - LOL!

Ah! When I'm ready to buy my third watch I'll ask your advice.
Upgrading your ring is such an important decision! It will be fun for you to try a lot of different models. There are so many beautiful rings.

What are the rings that you totally admire from the tpf ladies? It might help you to make your decision.

Bigger rings! Just a little bigger like slightly under or at 2 carat. I love the Tiffany Legacy but budget doesn't allow for a 2 carat one. While the Tiffany Embrace is more affordable, it is a little smaller than what I already have. Do you know how to post 2 pictures side by side? Perhaps if someone put the HOF repertoire next to the HOF significance - I might get some more imput. Thanks!
