I've never understood this about the US. Surely if you're old enough to serve, then you're old enough to enjoy a cool refreshing ale.

As for Hiliary... she seems pretty mature and together. I think there's no harm in enjoying a little champers and a sexy dance with your bloke

wow she's being normal.... :wondering give a girl a break. Kids are doing much worse now a days that are in hs and even jr high. She's an adult now just about, and is allowed to have some fun... I hate when people write stories about them like they are devil because they do these things, when im sure the ones that write this crap have either done the same or worse. She has grown up since her days as lizzie mcguire, get over it. People change as they grow up.. Thats how life is.... I heard that they are trying to lower the drinking age to 18. No matter what the age, underage drinking im sure is going to continue. And she is just about old enough anyways, so who cares. Shes an adult and can make her own decisions and doesnt need to care what anybody else thinks or what someones kid might see. She didnt choose to be a role model..... Shes more mature and has more class then a lot of younger celebrities now a days. blahhh :shrugs: but anyways... Just because you have drank before age 21 and maybe given your bf a lap dance *gasp* haha doesn't mean shes a bad person.... but umm yeah lalalala

well i did the same thing LAST year at the same halloween party when i was 20. the world didn't implode on itself because i had some fun, and i doubt it will implode because of hillary duff. and if your little kids know that she was drinking vodka and grinding on her boyfriend, you probably need to monitor what kind of media they're consuming, kwim? just because she USED to be lizzie mcguire doesn't mean she's not a real, human, 20-year-old just like the rest of us and forcing child actors to act like they're 40 years old ALL THE TIME is what gives them nasty coke addictions and screwed up heads later on in life.

Umm, you don't need to tell me what type of media my kids are watching- because I even have to block the Disney channel, Nick and the cartoon network. My kids do not read the crap that I do! I'm just saying she is getting residuals from her tv shows, it is still on tv, kids still watch it and sometimes parents LET their kids watch the mainstream media and if they do, why type of role model is she?
I guess I am not the norm. I never gave any of my boyfriends lap dances. BUT who cares, I am not a public figure that currently has Disney Lizzie dolls on the shelf! PLUS she is not 21 and she is at a club??? Whatever.......

ITA!!! God forbid, she's not a virgin anymore. Since Disney child stars must remain virgins until marriage and not give lap dances or drink before they're 21. I like Hilary because she's real. As long as she's not a drug addict or crashing her car into light poles, I see no problem with anything. :okay:

Well, I don't like Hilary, I think she's making tonnes of money for singing when in reality she can't sing a note in tune, she's also no the best actress either but neither are a lot of young actress's now-a-days.

That being said she is human. She going to have days where she just wants to let her hair down.
I mean I'm younger than her and I know I've done worse, and probably worse than what I know considering most of the times I've done something bad has been where I've been off-my-face drunk. I seem to remember snogging many people (guys and girls), taking traffic cones from outside my mates house and waking up in the cupboard :confused1:

It's not her fault that the paparazzi follows popular stars around like vultures. I'm sure wasn't purposefully letting everyone know what she's been doing.

So yes... give her a break.

Uh...I'm the one saying it's no big deal and not blocking my kid from watching the Disney channel...so, on the grand scale of drama, I'm fairly certain I'm a bit below you. And sure you can have an opinion, I just disagree with most of them. ;)

so if even Lizzie is too risque and controversial for your kids, then there's no way that Hillary, the real girl, having a drink is going to effect them. it seems like you're attempting to seal them from everything but YOUR influence, which is your choice, but it also means you're not really in a position to complain about how stuff they don't even WATCH has a negative effect on your kids. and other parents, that allow their kids to watch Lizzie, or read Us Weekly when they're older? They're no more WRONG than you are, and you really don't have much room to criticize them. You get defensive when criticized for your parenting choices, so why would you attack others'? The argument that you're harming your kids is just as strong as the argument that they're harming theirs. So live and let live, kwim?
