But on Thursday, it was not the paparazzi responsible for capturing Hilary Duff looking far from her best - it was the actress herself.
The 25-year-old posted a hilarious 'selfie' on Twitter as she got her eyebrows tinted in Beverly Hills, California.

With dye covering her eyebrows the star posed for the picture saying: 'Getting my brows dyed.... Guys? Think ima leave em like this nataliekristine24 is telling me NO!'
Of course the look was just temporary, and with her brows shaped and darkened it was 'me time' over and back to mummy duties with Hilary bringing son Luca along.
With 17-month-old Luca at the age when everything seems interesting, the star made sure to prepare - bringing along two outfits.

Hilary started off her day wearing a simple grey loose top, which she half tucked into a pair of skin tight white jeans that highlighted her shapely and toned legs.

Later the Lizzie McGuire left on the jeans and opted to swap out her top instead donning an oatmeal tank.

The 25-year-old took to Twitter to express her love of being married to Mike.
She said: '3 yrs ago today I married a wonderful man! So lucky we found each other. He also gave me the most precious boy I ever laid my eyes on!!'
Hillary had taken a step back from acting after falling pregnant but she will soon be back on movie screens having recently completed filming the comedy Flock Of Dudes opposite Bryan Greenberg.

I can sympathize with the eyebrow dye. Being blonde makes mine almost non existent.
