Have you tried the sock bun? If you hair is long enough you can try that out for a good bun, and you don't need to buy anything (just cut up an old sock!). There are lots of tutorials online if you do a google search.

First I did buy one of those donuts but it was too large.. then I went to a sock.. Its just a matter of getting the right size.
If I roll my hair down the sock it seems to hold better but it more work to cover the sock. If I just put my pony through and then put a band around to hold the hair it works better and no so large but i'm still trying to work on wrapping the rest of the hair around the bun and getting it to look right...
I just ordered some bun donut thing because of y'all. If it doesn't work, you owe me 65 cents, lol.
What is her obsession with those fugly booties? They ruin every outfit she wears them with. I wish they would die already.
Boo. I couldn't find anything about the reverse sock bun. The only version I've tried is where you start with the sock at the end of the ponytail and roll it towards the head. The layers never stay in and there are big holes where the sock shows through.... very sexy. AND I have extensions. Truly a sad state of affairs.
Ive seen so many girls at the mall wearing those bun things and some look so so fake and so bad.
I think it looks good if its slightly messy if you are dressing casual, but I see some where I see the foamy thing through their hair OR it's so huge, really huge and perfectly rolled that it looks like it should be on the red carpet. Meaning it looks way out of place with the rest of their outfit. So odd.
Maybe if they were on a date, out for the evening? But those really huge ones? They look terrible, as terrible as the thin haired ones. As bad as when I used to see bump its.
But it gives me a good chuckle as I walk by. lol
