YAY!!!!!!!!!!! Just moved back to Toronto! So excited! Need to find a babysitter for my toddler and I am all set. I'll likely need to bring my baby though since it might take awhile.

Lynne - I would not bring your baby. The queues are very long and I was told the reason why there was no sale the last few years was that there were people who were behaving badly. If you want to go, do find a babysitter for your toddler so you can enjoy it and know your baby is safe.

I'm in the minority here but I have no plans to go. I don't like queuing up for things so I have told my SA not to expect me. Which means more for everyone else!

I went to the last 2 sales and I did not find it too bad. I also can't leave my LO for very long since I exclusively breast feed.

It might be a bit of a nightmare for you if you bring your baby lynne_ross....it is extremely crowded around the scarf counters (the crowds are 3-4 people deep all along the counter) so it's really challenging with a little one. At the last one, a woman brought her baby in a stroller and people were leaning over the stroller to reach the scarves. It might be a bit stressful for you and your baby!:amazed:

I feel the same way as you, MrsJDS. The bulk of the silks are from seasons where I bought very little, and I would rather avoid the crowds, and focus on new things I have on my H wish list.

Thanks for the warning. I would have him in a carrier, which he loves. I wouldn't dare bring a stroller. Worst case scenario is I can't handle it and leave....I live in the city and I am on mat leave.
I also might just go for ties, which had no line up last time.

I was browsing this thread and saw your posts. I also EBF with my kids, strap him/her in a sling on your front side and you should be fine. I can't even tell you how many situations I went into in this position ;) Good luck! Keep your elbows sharp! ;)

Hiya, pursey! Are you going? Can I visit vicariously through you? Haven't been to an H sale in what feels like years. (Perhaps because it has, in fact, been over a year. Huh. Funny how that works.)

There will likely be a limited number of SLGs and leather bracelets, MASEML. In previous years there were enamel bracelets, tons of 90cm silks, a small number of cashmere GMs, some china, loads of ties, and a small collection of canvas bags.
It'll be my first time attending this sale. I was wondering if in the previous years if they had any of the h enamel bracelets or is it only the printed ones. Also, were there any of the h belts or towels and what were the prices for all of these items?

Thanks so much

Last sale they had a few enamel bracelets that were sold in the first 5 minutes. I did't see any towels or h belts last sale. There was a home items were in a separate room.

I was one of the first 20 people in last sale and remember being there really early. Even being the first in I was squished at the table and people had their hands all around me grabbing scarves.

Also, last sale some of my scarves came from Europe(still at the Euro price tag)

Thanks so much for the info. Also do you remember what time you went? And is it worth coming that early to just get a scarf. I really wanted one of the bracelets but I'm sure it'll sell out quick like you said. And are the prices for the scarfs $200?

If you just want a scarf and are not particular I suggest going in the afternoon. Last year my co-workers went in the afternoon for scarves and said they did not wait in line. The colour options will not be as vast at that point.
I can't remember what time I went at the last 2 times....early....the line up was so long long when I got there and it was before it opened. Also, the line up to pay was really long too in the morning.

Hi Lynne,

Do you know if there were any bracelets left when your coworkers went in the afternoon? Similar to fashionlover_10, this will be my first time going to the sale but as I will be 39+ weeks pregnant, I really don't want to wait a few hours in line (at the risk of going into labour :amuse:).

Thanks in advance!
