Thank you to the folks posting pictures of Bord a Bord. Are you finding it too sheer or becoming too easily wrinkled, and holding on to those wrinkles? I am wondering about how it is holding up. Thanks!

Not at all sheer. Quite thick. My cotton charms are sheer, not these. And yes it wrinkles. I lay mine around a rod but they aren’t really falling out. Thinking might need to steam occasionally if wrinkles become too unsightly in a tie.
Not bothersome enough to make me regret at all. I love the two I have!

Thanks Nomad, this is very helpful. The women’s cotton/silk etoles I have wrinkled a bit, but they did not keep their original folds at all. I also own some earlier square men’s cotton/silks that did not wrinkle and have the original folds. I do not have any all cotton pieces yet. I won’t be able to order anything until next week, so I have a week to think about it!

I just received a Bord a Bord today that I ordered from the website. I am sending it back. I have several cotton shawls and scarves that feel light and silky. This doesn't have the same hand or drape. The design is lovely, and the striped hem is very cool, but I don't like the way it feels.

I’m wondering if I wash it if it will loosen up a bit. What do you think having felt it?

I’m going to guess yes, a little bit, but that’s just an educated guess. I’m a quilter and I handle lots and lots of cotton. The scarf has some sizing to stiffen and smooth it just like the regular silks. Once it’s washed that will come out but you might need some spray starch to get that crisp look which will make it feel stiff again. Perhaps ironing while still damp will get it nice and smooth without having to add starch.

I know this has been shared before, but thought I would post my Chorus Stellarum CSGM in cw 04- blanc/marine/beige rose. I really wanted a white background shawl and this fits the bill for my closet. Showing it on grey and then also on camel. It is lovely on nay as you would expect. I am looking forward to styling this one!

I’m considering this CW…the description seems to indicate marine which I assume to be blue…but is it blue or black? Are you still finding it to be versatile?

I love it @Gourmetgal. I have worn it a lot and even with a red jacket and black pants for evening. If you put it right up to black it is clearly blue but it is quite dark. For example when I pair it with a light top and black pants it goes perfectly. And it looked great with my black leather jacket and camel slacks. The compliment I often get is "elegant" which, considering the two skeletons inside the folds, always makes me giggle. Please post if you get it!

Thanks for the comments back. I wear a lot of navy, white, cream, camel, brown and black and find I gravitate towards scarves with just limited colors - not totally mono-chromatic but not super multi-colored. This one seems to fit the bill.
