Beautiful! I am still debating about this, as I have way too many marine scarfs or shawls
I think it’s something you have to see in person. I wasn’t convinced enough to buy it online because of the monochromatic look, but fell in love with the depth of the blues in person. The ink blue tone is really rich and luxurious and doesn’t translate well in pictures.

Went to the boutique to look at Tous en Selle CW08 IRL and it is beautiful but, as I feared, it loses a lot of its charm when tied (for me, at least). I may order online to play with it at home as I can return (can only exchange boutique purchases here). See post #935 above for full design. Quickly snapped some modeling shots but was very uncomfortable as was with an unknown SA that was rushed and made me feel rushed. She was polite but the vibe wasn't conducive to trying or buying. I needed to play more to see which knots highlight the saddles, if any, because here I get mostly the lines of the case and it is just not one I may reach for, despite its beauty. At current price points and with my personal collection size, I feel more empowered to walk away.
Thank you for posting the tied pics. I’d been waiting for this one - I tried the other dark blue, and had similar thoughts. Agree 100% with your assessment. It’s gorgeous but I buy to wear and at this price point it has to be great tied too!

Here's Tous en Selle in CW8 (I believe it was requested some posts ago). Pretty accurate to H rendering. It's in shop so I will try to go down to the boutique tomorrow and try IRL myself. I do think it's gorgeous but concerned about how it ties. Only one way to find out...

This scarf looks utterly 3D! I’m so taken with it. No more silk for awhile, but thanks for posting.

I finally got the Chorus Stellarium in marine / indigo. The colour pops even more in person and I absolutely adore the shade of blue. It was sold out online and I was losing all hope of getting my hands on it. My new favourite!
Congratulations! We are twins on this beauty. It is indeed gorgeous IRL. I can’t wear shawls very often as I run warm, but this Daiske Nomura was simply irresistible. 💙🖤

Thank you, twin! Your post really inspired me to do a double take. I love this artiste, but initially thought the scarf might be too monochromatic, but it looks incredible in real life. Isn’t it funny how cameras blur out details? they can make lower-quality items look better than they are, while hiding the craftsmanship and details of well-made, high-quality pieces!

So glad you took a chance! This shawl is really rich and stunning, and it ties really well too. I love his designs, and CS in a large format is perfect.

what do you mean by "so overwhelming"?
oh sorry - in the way it totally swamps me. I can't get the size to shrink down in volume (or flatten), in picture 3 if I wear a 140 (and sometimes with the 90cm silks) in a similar way it looks like I'm wearing a neck brace. I am quite petite but do have a long neck. Hope that makes sense? Thanks.

I'm tall and not petite))) I'll try to describe how I tied it.

Photo 1 - the shawl is folded into a straight strip 1/4 of the width of the shawl;
photo 2 - a bias strip 25 cm wide, fold in half, throw it around the neck with the loop down and thread the ends through the loop crosswise;
photo 3 - fold into a kerchief, turn it back 20-30 cm, tie it on the head, wrapping the ends twice around the neck, tie it in front, remove it from the head, straighten it.

The general idea is a hard edge, it is what gives the shawl stability. I hope that I explained it clearly and it will help you
