Here's a quick mod shot of the Cheval Vague giant triangle, CW 05 Blue/Jaune/Rouge . Firmly in the "oops I did a thing" category and a (somewhat) unexpected purchase. There were others that were on the list first, and this scarf was 3rd down on my wish list, but the one I came home with today first. I think even if the others had been available to look at, this still would have come home first. It's very striking.

I have been silently marveling at the beautiful posts so far, congrats to all! I made my final online 2022 purchase yesterday and it just arrived. Love the overnight service! En liberte cw 12 a lovely partner for my 1923 mini bolide in menthe. Pardon the lack of twilly tying skills!

I went on Hermes after the holidays looking to see if any of the thicker scarves (Parade muffler etc) had come up with more color options. I was happily surprised to see the new season and think I lasted all of 3 hours before making my first purchases.

Chevaloscope blanc/blue/multi
Bal de Soie Triangle naturel/ blue / multi

It did strike me that I was picking similar color ways, but I definitely wanted to see these in person.

Below are some initial photos…. In full morning sunlight. A crumpled ball imitating as-if worn is the best I can do for now…..

Thank you all for the amazing shots of your new-ins and to those of you especially @Nomad and @Snausages for fantastic boutique reconaissance! I have pretty much completed everything I want except the Rayures d'Ete shawl and waiting to see Tulipomanie. A lot that is tempting but for now I am happy with the Costumes de Fete in 06 I previously posted, the Jardin des Peintres double face in the marine clair cw05 (the reverse side is so different and unlike anything I have), Tea for Two in the blue cw02 that has been shown and then three other formats -- showing quick mod shots here in case they help others who are choosing! I am so very happy that this season so much is both online and in the boutiques before year end! Last season was so so slow and I am still waiting for cws of Fantaisie d'Etriers  Happy shopping and a very very Happy New Year full of health and happiness to all of the wonderful scarfies here!

Happy New Year, everyone!

The FedEx man showed up with four new season scarves this afternoon. I wasn't expecting them until next week. Here are some quick shots.

The two 90s. Tea for Two, CW05, noir/rouge/multi and Le Carnaval des Animaux, CW09, bleu jean/vert/beige.

View attachment 5681071

The two 70s. Rendez-vous Galant, CW08, bleu/vert/jaune vif and Les Anamorphoses, CW08, rose pale/vert/corail.

View attachment 5681072

There was no mirror in the box for Les Anamorphoses, so I will call when Hermes is open to ask about it. I think it's an aluminized mylar sheet of some sort. In the meantime, I'm having fun squinting at the design trying to decipher the pictures.

Of these four, I find the whimsical Tea for Two the most delightful. I tried to pick colorways that avoided the orangy-pink pastels that seem prevalent this season. I mostly succeeded except for the center of Rendez-vous.

View attachment 5681098

That guy in the yellow suit may end up under the fold. I adore the sky and foliage in this colorway otherwise.

FedEx delivery came for me today too, earlier than expected! In addition to two new 90s from this season and a twilly, it also included two gifts - a cookie and scarf cards. Totally tickled! It's like Christmas all over again. The two scarves from this season - Brides et Destin (H003967Sv11) and Le Jardin des Peintres (H903908Sv02), the Annie Faivre double face. It is stunning! The more elegant side is actually a very pale blue. I tied it against several colors (wine, brown, plum, navy) and to my great surprise and absolute delight - the "party side" with the bright, somewhat garish colors looks fantastic! This scarf will be so fun to wear. The other scarf I'm on the fence about. It might be a little mature for me.

A scarf that works with so many tops and necklaces is definitely a winner.

I definitely do this (ahem...On the Beach x 4), and am currently in the process of narrowing down multiples of Le Carnaval des Animaux. Will be spamming many more pics here over the next few days!

Looks fantastic on you and we're twins on this one! My absolute fav colorway of them all - it's a perfect combo for me of design, colors and that hem :faint:

Hi here you go (yes, I ordered most of the colorways and still struggling to narrow them down!). This one has a fresh, Easter-y, springtime vibe but I find lavender to be difficult to integrate into my wardrobe. Such hard choices with this design!

I am keeping this one. Bought it in store and have ordered others to see as @cali_to_ny says, it is the only way since no store has the same or complete inventory. I'd like a bright cw but so far, unles the cyclamen works, this is the best cw for me. I love it. Editing to add: this is cw 06 mauve/gris perle/bois de rose. I think the brown you ar ereferrin gto is really a muted rosewood-- more pink in shade than brown...
View attachment 5682178

I think I’ve reached the same conclusion on 06. Here are some shots of 04 which I’m also returning because the colors are a bit similar to my pink/khaki colorway of Objets de Curiosite from last season.

I am thrilled with this one as well. Now waiting on Tea for Two in red/black and deciding on a few more. I may have to quit this season in the first week of January! :yahoo:  :girlsigh:

Hi @bunnycat - I think this is the one you're looking for. It is very "glowy", so much so that in the currently overcast natural light here it seems to be picking up a bit of a glare. The background is more blue (as shown in my original mod shot), but here are a few other ties showing other portions of the design. Hope this helps and I'm happy to take another stab at it if/when the sun decides to come out again.

I know different cw’s of Costume de fete have been posted, but I snagged a pic in what little sun I got so far today to show 01 and 03. When I’m ready for work (and presentable) I will take a mod shot of them. I LOVE cw 01! It’s very bright, goes with all my favorite colors and bags, and looks good with my skin tone. Cw 03 is lovely, but just didn’t make my heart sing like 01. HTH- my DH said wow 01 is so “poppy”! And he’s right. I adore this scarf And I’m most often taken by the poppiest! I’m returning 03 later today.

Yaaaasssss! Thank you for the extra pics. Love the glowy look on this of that one corner. The other coreners would probably wash me out with my very pale coloring, sadly, but I do surprisingly like that CW second best of the ones issued. I hope you keep it as it looks lovely on you!

Here are more pics of Carnaval des Animaux CW 08, which is the one I thought would be the best fit on me, with different tops. Just as I was trying it on, MrBcat located all the music notations from the last time he played this piece a few years ago. It was part of a full concert of animal based music, including Catcerto, which offended his poor dignity to have to play flute alongside a cat playing the piano.... :roflmfao: but which amused the Snickers right out of me.... So, I HAD to have this scarf. It currently resides in the SGV (Scarf Gift Vault) awaiting priority emergency release unto me.... (Probably Valentines)

It has a heckin' amount of starch in it... It stands by itself right now.

I know - it is an absolute stunning scarf and design and cw1! I took a few mod shots (there is a reason I don’t post them usually :P good mod pics are an art). Here is one. I do a very simple tie when I want an elongated look and one that shows most of the scarf - I tie two ends together, put over my head, pull a large scarf ring up, and voila. I also like this tie in warmer months as it is less silk around my neck. And I’m so thankful I ordered the blue last week when I realized the cyclamen one would not look good on me - it is currently sold out on the US website.

Hey everyone. Sorry to inundate with pics, but I find them so helpful. I ended up buying this one (so far) and didn’t have time to play until today. I wanted to say that the blue/black is bright, but so is this one! It has neon bright colors as well. The orange flowers are Very bright! While I dislike neon highlighter colors in my scarves I am still keeping this. It is a unique color combo and I love folk art designs too much not to own one.

When husband messages... "Something showed up from Paris! Not literal Paris I am sure, but you know what I mean" .... I rushed home to discover this! To be honest, the first thing I noticed right out of the box: The threads seem much more fine /soft than other CSGMs I have. It already had one little pill ball. Oof. This one feels *very* delicate... each year the CSGMs seem thinner and thinner. Evenso, it remains my favorite format, and I love the soft, springy colors in this one. I tried it with black first and it did not work. The longer I wore it with my oatmeal sweater, the more I loved it. Keeping! My curious newfie came by to see what the commotion was.

I posted some of this on my Insta, but wanted to include some more mod shots here for anyone who may be considering either of these.

Ostensibly, I was going to look at both of these, and keep just one...but now of course, dang it....I just wanted to look at everything that had interested me, and neither of these had been in the boutique when I went but were online so ordered them both to look at and likely both will stay too...like a stray cat that turns up on my doorstep!

Jungle Love Tampone' CW04 in the rouge/bronze/beige colorway.

I like this iteration of JL a lot. It's like they took JL tattoo, and mixed it with the Rainbow idea and the Imprimeur Fou idea and solved the continuing border problem that still existed on JL Rainbow. JL is also one of my favorite designs. On all the formats I have (except the twilly of course...) there always is the issue of the large border. This hampers my wearing as I don't like borders, and so the stamped look foliage really fills that in for me. This makes more wearing possibilities (for me), since in all other cases, I make efforts to hide the borders every time. Now I won't have to. I do wish they had used less orange, but oh well...a lot of the CWs of this tend to either warm tones or orange, or monochrome. I'm still working through whether or not I have other scarves that this will interfere with the wearing of, so I am going to use as many of my 30 days as I need to to make sure it's a fit for me. I did do a comparison with CS in the pink orange and taupe to see how I felt about it, since the orange/pink CS is still pretty new....I know they are totally different in design, but because of coloration, I'd probably be wearing them with similar tops.

Then there's this bad boi.... Rendezvous Gallant in blue/pink/yellow.

At first glance I was attracted to the general scene with the couple, but after I got it in hand, I noticed it has a lot of Dallet type elements to it. Note the flying birds up near the top, and the monkeys in the corner? Those details are reminiscent of the structure and composition of many Dallet greats like Jungle Love, Treve de l'Eau and Equateur. Then I also saw the central theme itself as a Dallet type scene with the romantic ??? couple framed all around by jungle foliage. Where Dallet would have used more cats, birds and monkeys, there are cats, iguanas, and cute frogs hidden in the blue foliage. I love it! It makes a wonderful nod to Dallet if that's what he was intending.

So many fabulous silks! Congrats, everyone! And, thank you for sharing all the wonderful pictures!

Congratulations Ladybaga! So happy to be your twin on Costumes! I also purchased Chevaloscope in the same CW but although I love the design and the colors in that CW, there was just a bit too much white for me. I find with my gray hair that wearing white can be a bit tricky, so somehow this one didn't work for me, sadly! I am hoping one of the Chevaloscope detail 45's will work for me instead

Wow bunnycat such fantastic choices! You are killing it this season! I am hoping to find a CW of Jungle love as well, and am so tempted by the same CW of Rendezvous. You really look wonderful in both, and love your haircut BTW!
Bova,
You should try the blue Chevaloscope. It reminds me of Wedgewood blue and is really pretty, but I was looking for more contrasts. I have a few white background scarves and am so nervous that with one wayward breeze, it's gonna land on my lipsticked lips. Perhaps, I should wear mine on day when wind isn't an issue.

agree, @Redbirdhermes and @bunnycat! It’s one of admittedly many reasons I am drawn to Ugo Bienvenu’s designs. Did you notice that the ‘rendezvous’ doesn’t just refer to the central couple? All the animals are paired in the design. The motif continues through the animals, too… Its also one more link to jungle love, with its adoring pair of cats ;)
I love how the style changes too around the central ‘frame’ with the couple; in the frame, the horses and the diner are captured in the style of Space Derby and Les Mustangs II, while a more detailed drawing style is used to capture the surroundings and other animal characters.
After reading the posts from the two of you I had to get out my ’rendezvous’ and start pair searching. I found a pair of iguanas! Dallet is wonderful, and I love the hearts in the cat’s eyes. This cw only has yellow, no orange I could find, and it is simply stunning! I’ve been searching for 20 minutes and keep finding new details. H really knows how to send us off on a “where’s Waldo” search! Love everyone’s scarves!

I know! My resistance is wearing very thin for this one. I keep telling myself I already have multiples of space derby, and that 70s are not my preferred size, but this one keeps calling… I am trying to be good!

Your costumes is superb on you, by the way. A fantastic choice, and one that is also tempting my resolve!

It looks beautiful with your sweater! Does it feel like it doesn’t suit your coloring or just not sure about the cw itself? I think it looks great on you.
Thank you!
I love the bright color but feel I only have this one sweater I can wear with it. I tried a cream sweater and it was just....ok. I tried a matching vermillion sweater and it felt like it was just a little too much. I'm going to keep trying! I did buy the pink/cyclamen colorway as well! :P After seeing the curry one on @Snausages - I now have that on my list!

Thank you for the suggestion Ladybaga, I am hoping to get to the store sometime in the next month, and hopefully can try on the blue in person...I think that's the only CW that might not be too pastel for me.

I am still anxious to see any pictures of the Chevaloscope gavroche, as perhaps it will work better for me in that format

I am kind of over the moon with this happy vibrant shawl! It arrived today as a charge/send from Dallas (always risky when you haven't actually seen it IRL) with thanks to @Snausages for the alert. But I was looking for a bright summer cashmere and I love this artist's work-- and the casual beach vibe. It did not disappoint. Definitely has this seasons colors (cyclamen, bleu azure, orange)! With apologies for a gray sweater and the wrong lipstick-- here are some quick try-on shots of Rayures d'Ete (01). Some corners and a bias fold...

What a wonderful surprise! That ties like a dream <3 I have to say, the design flat didn't grab me much, but now that I see it folded.... eeep. Goodbye $$$$$ I think I may need this one. It reminds me of happy vacations and time spent at the beach.
