Well, color me shocked. I have seen almost all of the cws of Retour A La Nature (except cw 11, which I still do want to see) and was a bit disappointed, especially because almost all of them have orange, which generally looks terrible on me. However, yesterday I finally decided to try on cw 09, Bleu Ciel/Rose Cyclamen/Orange, and to my shock I actually loved it. When I say “shock”, I mean in 26 (27?) years of buying scarves I’ve never liked an orange one (I know, I know), but the orange is mixed in with a lot of pink and it leans more pink, like tangerine, as opposed to a more yellow-orange.

Anyway, I know there are photos here, but I edited these as I took them, to match as closely as possible to what I was seeing.

This pic came the closest to my eyes. Note the pic is a just a touch bright, but that was one of the adjustments needed to make the color more accurate:

I love that the main drawn part is really a dark olive green.

One thing I wanted to try to do is emphasize the quieter parts of the design. In photos, these parts tend to disappear, but in person they’re lovely. There are MANY bits of pink mixed in with the background:

This will look so beautiful on you! I would have picked this one out for you because I know it will be so pretty with your hair and porcelain skin. LOVELY!!!!!

Happy Easter to all the Scarfies celebrating today! I spent the morning playing with the blue Tulipomanie and as promised some mod shots for those considering. The truest expression of the blue is definitely on optic white:

I also quite like it on navy blue with a bold lip:

And just for fun, I tried it on a burnt orange colored top and with stripes:

I hope these are helpful to any scarfies considering. I am thrilled to add this to my beautiful elegant argent cw. They each have a distinct vibe and will work in very different ways for me. I hope you will indulge just one more photo. Like many of you I adore tulips and was amazed by how beautifully my Anna Weatherly Old Master Tulips mug and the argent cw matched!

You look gorgeous in EVERY scarf you put on, LKBNOLA! Both of your tulip scarves are magical on you. I need to copy the ways that you tied these, too. I can learn so much from you. That blue with your gorgeous hair and skin looks like it was made especially for you. Same with the argent colorway. These tulips sure do agree with you! STUNNING!

Thank you so much, LKB. I have been looking forward to your mod shots of the blue Tulipomanie and they are all amazing. One color you mentioned earlier was olive green, so I gave that a try. It is a good suggestion and I think it makes a great neutral background for this scarf, and also picks up some highlight colors in some of the tulips. And, I pulled out a wrinkled summer top in golden yellow to try. I'm trying for the opposite color of blue on the color wheel to make this scarf stand out, without going full on orange. It makes for a brighter overall look.

GORGEOUS! I love this paired with your yellow top! This colorway complements your beautiful skin and hair, too! You and LKBNOLA are rocking this blue version. LOVE IT!

Yaaaay! Finally some pics! I think this is the one with the blue lettering (apologies, I don't remember who originally posted it):

I wonder if the 140 Eleftheria plisse is the missing colorway; I love these colors but I cannot wear that orange. Hoping that this is not "fuchsia and yellow" which are colors I love:

Hmm...this cw of the 140 looks very much like one of the 90cm colorways...

I love this design so much. I have the pink border 90 and the blue jean 90 and I still can’t wait to try these 140 in blue!! When I was in Paris in early January they had one on display but none to try!

::waves:: Hi everyone! I’m new to the Hermes subforum and have just started dipping my toes into the wonderful world of H silks.

Here are my choices from Spring/Summer 2023 so far.

Les Jardin des Peintres in the blue cw.
View attachment 5759642

And the Chevaloscope in the pale green and coral.
View attachment 5759643

Plus the rose metal scarf ring - it goes so well with this scarf, it’s crazy.

I tried on the Costume de Fete, the one with the lilac border which I was sure I was going to love, but I didn’t like the way it tied. Also looked at the Carnaval des Animaux in the bleu jean cw, but it seemed a little duplicative with my JdP.

So addicting!
Hi and welcome! Great choices and twins on the Chevaloscope. Enjoy your beautiful scarves.

Thank you for your excellent points. I have been told that my complexion is neutral and can lean warm or cool, however, pinks look much better on me than oranges. I will send the vermillion back. Would like to try the argent but that’s been really delusive and I don’t know if its purples would suit me. US Hermès ships from the East Coast and I am on the opposite side.

Oh I would have never guessed shipping would take so long in the US. I guess I am spoiled with 48 h delivery, being so close to Paris…

I am told I am neutral to warm, but not really cool. So I guess we do not exactly have the same undertones then. I can do pink and orange, but also grey and black…

I do think the white one was amazing on you but I understand the frustration of not being entirely sure of the cw as long as they are other possible options. If it helps, I did order the pink and silver one to try one, I can post pictures but not before next weekend since I am travelling…

Sharing the Retour shawl cw11 that I received last week!!!At first, I thought it is kinda similar to the Faubourg shawl cw 11 but they are quite different when comparing together.
Top is Retour.
Bottom is Faubourg.

Thank you for this! I wanted the Faubourg but missed out on it. I got the Retour instead and love it, but is is not quite the same as the Faubourg. The Faubourg seems warmer and more coral.

I shall look forward to your pictures. Your travels look amazing and I am longing for some sun. Thank you for confirming the white one. I can do pink, a more subdued/ burnt orange and also black and grey.
