Sharing a few mods of the Retour a la Nature #5. It's such a beautiful design. I found it incredibly difficult to choose a colorway because I already have Faubourg Tropical and didn't want to duplicate too much. I opted for this one because it's nothing like anything else I own and a fun mix of brights and pastels. Not sure it works on my coloration though! It's sooooo so pretty but I am struggling to be happy / elated to wear it. I haven't tried it against white yet, that's next. I tried it against beige but it fell flat. I may muster up the courage to wear yellow if I have to in order to enjoy this one! All ideas welcome. Perhaps a different tie / knot.

I love this! I think it looks great on you especially with your hair. It’s also on my list in the same colourway, but it’s not available in my country yet…

Have you tried pairing it with black? I always thought it could look good with a sleek black coat in winter, and as you say white/cream might look good too. It might not work as well (perhaps a bit washed out?) with bright coloured tops like the one you’re wearing. I’d love to see more photos of how you tie/pair it with lighter colours like pastels, and especially with beige because that’s how I intended to pair it!

The ONLY thing I’m unsure about is how much it will stand out especially from a distance - my scarves are all very colourful and easily brighten a dull outfit and the patterns is easily distinguished. Whereas this scarf in the 05 is more toned down, you can’t see the florals or the animals as well and is not what I usually go for… also, does it look too yellow in real life??

Excellent questions! I'll take some more shots when I can. I also go for the more colorful designs and this one is definitely subtle - you have to be close to see the details.

You can reach out to Tie Crafters in NYC - they will pleat any of your H scarves. Not sure if they will pleat cashmere shawls - but 90 scarves for sure. Cost about $100, maybe slightly more nowadays. H can do a special order too - but they will send it to France and it will most likely take 6+ months - or that's what I have heard.
Thank you for the information! I’m the UK so sending a scarf to the US is not an option for me. My SA was talking to me about the pleating - he’s organised it for one of his other clients recently. It’s a not very expensive service from what I understand, £40 or something like that? I am not sure how long it takes though!

Great if you can find someone locally! In the US is it more expensive - over $100 done by one local NYC cleaner. It is great alternative if you have some old vintage scarves that have stains or flaws - as the pleating will hide the imperfections and flat hems if that is an issue. The only thing to keep in mind is that it is quite expensive dry cleaning those plisse scarves - again, need to find a specialized cleaner that can handle them and once the pleating is out of shape, it would have to be repleated and so forth. I would be curious to know how the pleating would behave in cashmere after wear and whether it would maintain the crispiness of pleats? Alas, it does look gorgeous on photos and I am sure in life it would be stunning!

I think it looks beautiful the way you tied it - all of the mod shots are great. Try dark brown, rust or bordeaux maybe, dark mauve? Maybe add brighter/darker lipstick? See the stylebook of @Cookiefiend - she is a master to pair colors within the scarf with her clothing... The shawl is pastel so one would need to balance the pastel and maybe add contrasting base clothes? Just brainstorming here..

It’s a stunning scarf - truly.
Try some softer colors that are in the scarf - pink (I ❤️ Pink) and other shades of pink, lavender, a soft creamy yellow, cream, even a caramel/camel.
That lavender is jumping out at me!

For those of you deciding on Cheval Sirene, here are some basic real life shots of cw08 jaune d'or/gris/rose. As @Maedi says, this has two VERY convincing sides. Really quite different so a real two for one in this case. It has a beautiful rich hand, like most double faced and you can see it has "Shirley" corners and will tie very well. Hope this helps!

It is beautiful @EtsyBoss! I am passing on this design because of Faubourg Tropical in the rose cw from last spring, but I have eyed this one even so! I also have a Leila au bloc so really hesitated on adding another soft floral. Having said that, this cw is gorgeous on you-- I think it is absolutely flattering to your coloring but it is a bit of a departure from your usual brights that I've seen more often. My personal opinion is that this looks best in the longer tie/knot so you can see more of its beauty (pic 3)-- it is kind of lost in the high, tight knot. And I also think the brighter tops are overwhelming. I think a softer background-- grey (might work beautifully with that yellow hem!), lavender, pink, and all the neutral cream family... The colors you have picked would work so well if they were more pastel I think. Just my two cents. I love it on you.
Editing to add: I see @Cookiefiend has also weighed in on Team Pastels, but I also think charcoal grey and black should get an audition!

I think this is gorgeous on you! I have this one as well and IMO it looks best tied with as much of the bright yellow hem showing as possible.

Well as delivered, I had to share… we don’t have to discuss the artwork or the perfect detailing of flowers… it’s stunning, but well, but well…there’s a big BUT
I think it lacks a bit of contrast … a bit of wow… I am not sure if it is a keeper … but I hesitate so much with sending it back… you never know if other versions even arrive online or in store…what did the other TPF Person do ? Sorry I didn’t find it again on here …
Love,
