I need to share this with someone and not on Facebook. Ha ha. I just purchased my first Hermès scarves for my 56 bday coming up soon. I went with the 90 and picked Le Carnaval des Animaux and the Objets de Curiosité. I struggled between the 90 and 140, but ultimately just loved the designs on these.
Happy birthday and congratulations! I have Le Carnaval and am really happy with it. Enjoy them both and wear them in good health.
Good afternoon everyone. Just wanted to share some photos of Tulipomanie cw02-- the argent one. It arrived just now from the Madison store, but my understanding is they are out of stock in this cw at the moment. Hanton has shown lovely photos of the scarf flat but here it is on my neck. Please forgive the fuzzy black sweater, wrong lipstick and winter flyaway hair. The scarf deserves better!
It is most definitely not white, but a pale pale pale silver. I think it will be stunning on icy-blue and grey. As others have said the floral artwork is gorgeous. One corner with more white space than I'd like, and the scale is quite large but otherwise it is making my Tulip-Obsessed heart very very happy.

This looks stunning on you! I got a chance to try this on at Madison but found that the silver read too gray for my skin tone, but it looks perfect with your coloring. So pretty. The yellow 14 worked better for me personally, but I'm a huge fan of the pastels on yours.

May I ask for the name (or how to do) the tie shown in the photo I kept quoted above? I like the look of this one but am not familiar with it.

Many thanks to @monteverdi, @Hanton, @Croisette7, @Ashanti_Rose,@owls.and.shiny.things ,@redheaddem and @GloWW0rM for your comments and all the likes-- I know many of us have been waiting (im)patiently for more cws of this design! I return the thanks, compliments and congratulations to all who have modeled the gorgeous cw16 and cw14 so far.
Gorgeous! Thank you for modelling it. So helpful to see it as close to in person as possible! This is the cw I’m waiting on. Interestingly, I’m not sure this would look great in all folds on me and I’m only completely loving the corner you’ve got in the bandana photos. Hmm… torn as to whether I’d get a lot of use out of this one or whether it will be another Robe Legere, which I think is beautiful but still don’t reach as much as I should for.
@GloWW0rM -- if you think only one fold will truly work, I personally would not get it. Maybe wait for a gav! That said, there are a lot of purple flowers and I purposefully showed the bias fold that included the yellow/grey combination just so people could see the variety...
I think I am on a same page with you. I was expecting to get multiples of this but now I am not so sure.. I think I prefer this design "spread out"/ looser knots - as opposed to elaborate tight concussions. Or would that depend on CW and colors within each one of them and how they intermingle in knots? I am waiting for yellow - really not sure how that will play out for me:smile:) I am thinking that this design would be best in CSGM - to show off the flowers - or maybe not?? Lost here.
I agree with you @Ashanti_Rose that this is a design that will most likely shine in longer, simpler ties or asymmetrical folds. I still want multiples, but neither the bright yellow nor the pale grey worked as well for me as this cw02. I am intrigued to see other colors modeled-- especially the blue and the brighter white.

I had the opposite problem, I think @citykitty24 -- always have to be careful with warmer neutrals like vanilla and cream. I adore the yellow and wished so much that I could pull it off! Still would love to see the brighter white (01) shown below that was on the Australian site:

As for the knot, I learned it from @cherrybjpn's instagram tutorial. She calls it a "Bow Knot" starting from a triangle bias fold. To stay on topic I will make a demo of her knot for the how-to thread. If you are on instagram you can easily find it! Simple and pretty. Any scarf ring will work (even my shawl ring served in a pinch!).

Dear @LKBNOLA - I would love to see that one as well - especially tied. I find the design spectacular, but something seems to be off in CWs - am hoping that H will introduce more CWs - like they did with some other designs?:)))) Or you have mentioned gavroches - that would be interesting:)

The purple in this is really lovely @LKBNOLA Your last 4 knots really show off the design so well.

It’s glorious on you. On my monitor, it almost has a bit of a crème tint. Can’t wait for more pictures.

Thank you, great to know - you’re giving me hope that this is the one! The argent is really lovely on your skin tone. I’m excited to see it and try it on when it finally makes an appearance here.

Had anyone seen Retour a la Nature in cw 05 Vert / Jaune / Rose? What do you think?

I saw it on the Australian and some Asian websites, but here in the U.K. it‘s taking its sweet time…. I’m still relatively new, will they ever come to Europe??
