I believe you're correct? Does look like Filipe Jardim's work (He did both Modernisme Tropical and Sea, Surf and Fun.)

I think his style is definitely represented in this new design. The palms were what I noticed, along with the architecture. Good eye on locating the artist's sig. He is a Brazilian artist correct? So talented and I love his work. (My screen saver is my Modernisme Tropical in white background and primary colors. One of my most worn scarves.)

Oh good grief....I've realized that new Annie Favre is amazing, too! I was hoping this would be a "low buy" season for me because I ended up with 5 silks and 2 shawls for the current season. I can tell that I am already failing. Nothing is for sale yet, and I have already "bought" too much!

My list so far:
Pierre Marie: Giant Triangle
And maybe the other triangle one, too, that looks like it was designed by the artist who created Garde Robe Pop? (Seeing the swirls and horse head on the triangle made me think of GRP.)
Annie Favre's: Le Jardin des Peintres (Double sided)
Aline Honore's: Tulip scarf
The detailed CSGM Retoure a la Nature (I didn't realize it was a shawl! WOW)
The other CSGM that I like is Mon Premier Galop. I am interested to see the braided design of the horse to see how it ties. It looks very 60's-70's vibe to me, which I love.

So far that makes 2 CSGMs, 2 giant triangles, 2 90 silks, one of which is double sided = six!!
Yikes! My store director promised me that this spring/summer wasn't going to be that great. Liar Liar Pants on Fire.

Did you purchase an American Quilt? If so, would you mind posting it on the A/W 2022 thread? Thank you, dear Ladybaga.

Just for interest, and to help focus the mind as I too was worrying about similarities, this is a comparison of a classic Gucci floral with the Tulipomanie. (Gucci pic courtesy Google - hope that is allowed). I remember this design from years ago. Gucci is much more stylised vs. the grace of the tulips. And the lack of border makes Tulips appear more modern somehow. Just hope the c/w are not too bizarre!

Thanks for the comparison photos. Finally figured out what Tulipomanie reminded me of; Jacob Marrel drawings at the Rijks Museum. My shopping bag is based on these works.

It also reminds me of work by Pierre-Joseph Redouté.

Oh yes, Tulipomanie definitely looks to be inspired by either/both of these. Adore both! I originally thought it was going to be a Katie Scott design due to the layout and checked her website. She does do flowers but slightly stiff.

Apparently this season is where I get to share random trivia! The gorgeous flamed petals of the tulips like the ones in Tulipomanie made these "broken" tulips the most valuable during the Mania. It turns out to be caused by mosaic virus, which weakens the plant and its descendants, so most of those tulips died out (or were destroyed to save the other tulips). Modern breeders have managed to re-introduce the coloring, but not quite as flamboyantly. A good description here: https://amsterdamtulipmuseum.com/topics/the-botanical-mystery-that-fueled-tulipmania/

And of course it got stuck in my brain after reading the appropriately named book Tulipomania: https://www.publishersweekly.com/978-0-609-60439-7

Fascinating, thanks! As so often, the Hermes scarf is more than just a silk square!
