Such a beautiful photo! That green monster on the back might be my favorite!
The first one looks more “you” ! Congrats!
Totally agree with others and your final choice Froufrou! I had a hard time deciding on the Siestes, and having both a twill and a GM from last issue, I felt in no rush to decide. Also the two colorways that I loved most on me, including the one you went with, were very similar colors to my CSGM though a different look. I agree with being more selective too, and continue editing my silks each year.
Fantastic choice from frou-frou! (I'm feeling tempted again...)
Thanks, @bunnycat !Fantastic choice from frou-frou! (I'm feeling tempted again...)
Beautiful combo! Congrats!
Ohhhh- lain- this one is so amazing. Every time I see it!
Thanks dear! A tip on folding the 140 size shrug, I fold in half then fold in half agin to tie the shrug. It is more of a cropped shrug if that helps.Loving you in the shrug Lanit, especially with the Sweet Dreams.
It’s cashmere silk isn’t it? It has a great drape and the colours are tdf.
I worked the shrug with 90cm a couple of time last Summer and like how it looks a lot .
A great SA in Cadogan tied my Sieste CSGM into a shrug and it looked terrific , but I can’t quite remember the crafty way she tied it , it didn’t look too much whereas my attempt seemed too baggy.![]()
I’m always contemplating , but there’s competition as I also love Cabanes CSGM in sepia and several 90s.....
But no , one 140cm Sieste is enough , I shall wear it a lot but would never be able to give neck time to two.
I like having a smallish collection , after years of over zealous collecting I’ve really tightened up on what I buy .New Seasons will come with beautiful things!
I enlisted the help of 2 H friends who described this one as ‘art gallery owner’and the more exuberant colourway as ‘Russian ballerina’.
Russian ballerina was manna to my ears, but the icy/warm vibe of this colourway with it’s more Japanese overtones was simply irresistible.
Here’s the other one... I so love it too![]()
One of our members' motto is "just because something is beautiful, doesn't mean I have to own it". I always knew this intellectually, but it didn't really hit home until the scarf obsession --- the $$$ have a way of sharpening one's focus over timeI agree with others I think the ochre colourway is my favourite too for you! It looks stunning! I like the concept of evaluating “neck time.” As someone who is still fairly new to H scarves, I find that I really need to step back and think about how often I will wear it instead of getting pulled in by all the beautiful things! I think I’m getting better....[emoji38]

I showed an example on my Samourai collage on the SOTD thread or on my IG. Happy Easter!
It’s called the Croisette and was around for decades, I think it may still be around and certainly the odd one pops up on resale sites.
Must have been influenced by you and others when I went to the store yesterday. So many temptations. I did end up coming home with several goodies and one from the web. Will post later. too dark tonightWas at my boutique today. The Sietse au Paradis is very dangerous! I also have another CW on hold but here is the blanc/noir/ocre CW 3. Tried to capture the lavender colour of the water-nowhere near as skilled as fifi with her tying! View attachment 4408809View attachment 4408810
