Work has been crazy lately, so I decided to play hooky yesterday and headed to the city for some “me time” and retail therapy. Popped into the Madison Ave. store and was pleasantly surprised to see several SS 2019 scarves (and 2 that I was definitely interested in - Kawa Ora and Le Reve de Gloria in blue/white/ocre). There may have been other colors, but I was focused on blues! Saw they had at least 3 cw’s of Sieste au Paradis, but since I’m not a 140 girl, I didn’t really look too closely. No sign of the Mythiques Phoenix 70 cm, which is the only other scarf on my wish list (which has dwindled drastically because like others, I’ve spent my scarf $ buying older ones I missed).

I went in KNOWING I wanted Gloria, but when I tried it on, it wasn’t a “wow”. It’s a lovely scarf, but kind of ‘meh’ on me. The SA brought over Kawa Ora in lavender/beige/gold and that was the one! The 2 scarves have similar colors, but Kawa Ora’s design won me over. My SA also had me try it in the blue/black/ivory cw, which was pretty, but I really wanted lighter and brighter colors for Spring. Nothing else really caught my eye - so I bought shoes

Thank you, fifi. I especially like the L'ésprit on you.
Thank you! It is very lovely and the colors are like nothing I own... I still think I need time to play around with it as I found it wasn’t the easiest design to tie.

Thank you for the pictures Fifi.:flowers: What do you think of the colours of the bronze / tan piviones? I am looking for a more bronze scarf ( like the bronze bits in the MP Pheonix in the dark neutral colourway.)

@xincinsin Maybe you may know better as I think you own both scarves. I hope!!:flowers:
The colors on this one are amazing... It is not really bronze bur more of a caramel. This is one that is hard to portray through pictures. There’s a quality about it that must be appreciated IRL... it is more stunning that I thought. I was about to take it but held back because I don’t want to make a decision on this design based on just two CWs. The architectural elements really stand out in this one, mich more than on the blue.

What does "available only to look at" mean? They have some in the boutique, but you can't buy them? Can you try them on or only gaze upon them from afar? LOL, how ridiculous.
I know... so irrational! Major eye rolls all around. The staff can’t even explain that one... They were referring to the fact that Sweet Dreams is available on h.com but when you click on it it doesn’t let you purchase it... Crazy stuff!!

Oh, that’s wonderful! I am so expectant of Kawa Ora! If you have a chances i would love to see them modeled! I’m also so expectant is MP 70, but at this rate, who knows if I’ll get it when if finally shows up!

So I went by my Hermes boutique today but came home empty handed. I had a lot of high hopes when I was told that Pivoines had come in and the Equateur maxi twilly cut, but there were not enough CWs available for me to be able to decide. And there were so many design not available in ANY CW period! I think all of these have already been posted so I apologize in advance. I am just sharing for the record and just in case that I may offer a view or knot not previously presented that may perhaps be helpful

A l’Ombre des Pivoines. I was very impressed by this CW. It was probably the prettiest scarf I tried on today. But i still wish to see more CWs before I decide. It is gorgeous, though!

Thank you for sharing photos from the boutique, fifi. I've been waiting for the bronze Pivoines but have only seen blue lac and ivoire cw's. My desire for it is waning... :frown: That hot pink Pierres et Cristaux is fab on you. Was it on your list?

Happy to have finally seen Kawa Ora in the more "monochromatic" cw's -- the pink one and the ivoire one. The brightly coloured cw (I've forgotten the no.) was stunning overall. Beautiful details!

Picked up my Sweet Dreams CW 09 today! It's beautiful! It's like a box of crayons and I mean that in a GREAT way, very fun, I really love it.

AND as I was paying during discussion my SA says "There's a woman on instagram that posts wonderful knots and backgrounds of scarves if you're interested, you should take a look. I think her name is 'living la vida'" and then I cut in and said fifi?! And she says yes! So @Living.la.vida.fifi you got a shoutout from my SA! She said you do a wonderful job on instagram and she looks at your posts! I got visibly excited and said I was familiar with your posts and your knots are TDF!

Also she did say that they can order from h.com so I'm not sure why there's so much different information floating around because I was previously told they operated separately too. Who knows anymore. ALSO apparently there was some 'training' done, not sure what that means exactly, I guess briefing some of the SA's in a group that they are 'bringing back' the 70cm size as well as the large triangle scarves in silk. She didn't know what the timeline was since she wasn't in said training but said they were told they'll be around 550ish Euro (I don't remember the exact number and I don't know if she sure, they didn't give USD prices - I believe this was for the triangle scarves not the 70cms). I share this info with a grain of salt because this could be next season or who knows when, just thought I would share since it was shared with me. Maybe others have heard something along these lines as well?

Yay! You picked yours up! It looks fabulous on you. I am wearing it today over a turquoise tee, and I can tell you it looks wonderful against blue, just as it looks great against an orange sweater, too. It is more versatile than I expected it would be due to all of its bright colors. Monsters rock! At Whole Foods earlier today, I was wondering why a well-dressed woman at the check out kept glancing over at me, and now I think it must have been because she noticed and liked my Sweet Dreams scarf peeking out of my black trench coat. (When wearing my Sweet Dreams scarf in blue a few days ago, multiple strangers at a NJ mall wanted to engage me in conversation and we had several pleasant exchanges. It truly must be the power and allure of the Hermes scarf.)

My pleasure, and thank you so much! And I’m with you in that my desire is waning on a lot of things on my wishlist... Time dissipates all... The PeC was not on my wishlist but trying those two on sparked my interest as it is fun and quirky and does tie well.

Oh my goodness... that is so good to hear! I’m glad that my Instagram posts are useful to people out there! That is my main mission and intent... Is your store in the US? Thank you so much for letting me know! And in my local H store they’re all talking about the “training” as well.
And I am IN LOVE with this design, especially in your CW! Really wishing I try this one on... It looks so vibrant, fun and extremely versatile! A winner all around... Congrats!!

Thank you for sharing... I just love the random encounters that happen sparked by our Hermes scarves! Definitely Sweet Dreams is one of those conversation starters... it is stunning!

The MP you are referring to is the CSGM? I didn't buy any of those.
This is a comparison of the Acte III moon and the Pivoines. The moon is a dull shade of bronze, further tempered by the surrounding taupe. Only the turquoise sky is bright in this cw which is mainly muted colours. The bronze in Pivoines has a gold sheen, and looks more vivid because the entire scarf is in this colour and the details are either contrasting black towers or the even brighter flowers.

Thank you for the comparison! I meant this MP. It has some bronze bits wondering if they were the same colours. :flowers:

Got it! Think the MP feathers were closer to vanilla. I shall find my MP and compare. Will continue this colour discussion on @Jahna's thread on H scarf colours as it is getting further from SS19.
