I saw the orange yesterday IRL and it is VERY bright orange (IMO much brighter than this photo or the only other photo of the orange on this thread makes it appear - little fading from the carre wash effect at all). In addition, the birds rendered in blue (e.g. the spoonbills) are very dark blue - verging on an almost ultraviolet - so the blue & the orange are highly contrasting. Orange is usually a good colour for me (yellow skin tones) but this was just too orange & bright (as my SA said - it's definitely not your colour of orange.

@ODEDIHAIMS This may sound like a strange suggestion but do you think you could wear another scarf in between such as a simple one colored cotton that could act as a barrier? That way you could have your colors and prints but keep the materials you are allergic to off your skin? I realize this is absolutely impractical but might provide an alternative if you're seeing something you absolutely LOVE and want to try to make work?
@Langsam Thank you for posting this cw! I really wanted to love this scarf when I first saw it and I just wasn't coming around to the colorways or how I would wear it etc but seeing this one really stirred something up. My fiance is a geologist/engineer so maybe he'll hop on the H train for this one! For one of our dates/day adventures we went and smashed rocks for amethyst (that sledge hammer gets very very heavy, very quickly!). Reminds me of New Mexico and looks wonderful the way you tied it. I think I'm hooked. I'm falling in love as I type this, oh no..
@MissIn I love your choice of scarves and respective cw! Each of those colorways were ones I was looking at for myself! Especially that Sweet Dreams!! Was this in San Fran? I've been anxiously waiting for them to appear on the US site but no dice. I love the idea of a lighter wool and I am appreciative of the current price point but I don't think I will get my chance to purchase before the price increase. I may have to call my boutique again. Do you find the wool scratchy or itchy at all?

Just got off of the phone with my SA. CSGMs are going to $1125 from $1100, 90s are going to $415 from $395, and the Carre Wash are going from $425 to $480. I wasn't able to get price changes for anything else.
Thanks for the info. That’s odd that the Carre wash are going up so much. I was on the fence but that puts them in the no category for me.
I have one from the Fall season and was considering an Equateur, but I will likely forego that now.
You're welcome! My SA said the same thing. It doesn't follow any logic that we can discern.
That actually was the whole reason I was on the phone with him. I wanted to get my Jungle Love Tattoo and a Carre Wash (I went for the Coupe de Gala from last season, rather than the Pierres et Cristaux. My SO never says a word about what I buy, but he had a viscerally negative reaction to Pierres. I was on the fence anyway, so it tipped me over to the "no" side.)
You could still buy the Equateur online if you want it. Those prices won't change until some point overnight.
I wanted to see the cws IRL to see how they look on me, and how I feel about the border. It's ok - it's for the best. My wish list is long enough lol.
Thanks for the information. I am now glad I ordered and have received Equateur in rose vif and aqua. Both are keepers for me, although I can see immediately that they can, do, and will wrinkle more than my other two 90's in regular silk. I really like them, their colors and animals are positively glorious, but I don't think I would have paid $480 for each of them.
I don’t understand why the Wash scarves are more expensive in the first place. I did give a try for one of the equators because I so loved the print. But - in my opinion it looked ‘pre-loved’ . Color somewhat muted, hem rumpled, and already some wrinkles although brand new in box. Loved the feel - but I couldn’t pull it off in the end. The disproportionate price increase makes no sense to me, and I’m sure Wash fans do not appreciate it AT ALL!
