I have been looking at both the Rosy Lip Enhancer and the lip oils. Does anyone have both and have a preference? I like the shinny finish and colours of the lip oil, but I am worried they are not as moisturizing as the Rosy Lip Enhancer.

I have both and like both. To me they are very different. I think you may find the Rosy lip enhancer longer lasting on your lips, if that is a plus for you. Otherwise, they are just different things all together. I use both as a bottom layer for my lipstick depending on if it want shine or more matte. And either one makes it so it is a lighter more "blotted" style coverage, which i like.

Hi Everyone! I have yet to venture into the world of Hermes make up. I'd like to purchase some lipsticks or lipglosses that would be a good color for all skin tones as I'm giving them as gifts. Anyone have any recommendations? TIA!

I think the recs you got earlier are good ones. I have Rose d'Ete lip enhancer, and love the plum lip oil. I've also tried Rose Apricot and Rose Tan. (they gave me some samples to try last time I went.) I find the apricot and ete mix well with other lip colors and will probably add another shade on like apricot. The Rose Tan I have to wear by itself or use as a base only on warm tone lip colors.

I have one of the shimmery blushes. I can't recall the name, but I like it a lot. And several of the limited edition matte lipsticks.

Update on nail polish - *update* is only in my mind. I finally bought two colors after reading this entire thread. Rouge H and Rose Porcelaine. I never need another nail polish color again (except maybe Rose Magenta or Ultraviolet). First of all Rose Porcelaine is the neutral pink I have been looking for my whole life. Secondly Rouge H is the perfect red. Third, both colors last a full week - 7 days - almost entirely without chipping and I defy you to get a salon manicure that is equally good. I use an OPI natural nail base coat. I use the Essie top coat that’s made for the “long lasting” two step colors - the bottle that has the twist in it. I wait a while in between each coat so that the previous coat has dried completely. Really great results.

(I cannot post pics because I despise how my hands look in pics)

Bonus rec. unfortunately Dior lip oil is better than Hermes lip oil.

I only have one of each and I enjoy both! I have the purple oil (it's actually just a great color on the lips, not scary at all) and my lips are still moisturized even after it wipes off. The lip enhancer is also great and I can put it on without a mirror.

Definitely will pick some shades up next time I'm in store!

I have nothing against the actual colours of the eyeshadow palettes but the formulas from the current offerings are really nothing special. In fact, I find the H powders to be on the drier side and quite powdery with very weak colour payoff and poor blendability. These do not feel luxurious at all. Even the packaging is flimsy plastic. The brushes are so amateur IMHO. I feel midlevel brands from Sephora does a better job than what H is offering. Maybe I am just not their target customer. Sorry for the rant.

Thanks for the tip, bunnycat! I tried the Rosy lip enhancer under my matte lipsticks (both H and others), and it’s soooo much better than a lip primer alone! Now to decide if I “need” it in more that just Rose d’Ete ;-)
