Does the eyeshadow palette come with the little brush in the picture?
Yes.

THE OBJECT
Designed by Pierre Hardy, this quartet of eyeshadows plays with geometric shapes and echoes the Bauhaus movement. Its round case is protected by a canvas drawstring pouch and includes an applicator brush in lacquered wood. The object is presented in an orange box. ;)

I wish that Hermes sold the shadows separately.
I've noticed many cosmetic brands making a move towards palette's of between 2-4 eye shadows.
Personally I only ever like one or two colours in the palette (not just H but other brands too) and I would rather pay a little more for a single eye shadow I will use daily than buy a palette where most of the colours don't get touched. :frown:

My SA sent me notice of the boxed eye brushes. They look very pretty. I have have some very nice face brushes, but only a few really good eye brushes.

Are H's on par with good Fude brushes or are are they just expensive handles with a nice box?

IMO, Chikuhodo (Z series) brushes are in a different league than H brushes

I'll have a look at Chikuhodo - and Sonia G.

For eye brushes, I have Koyuda, Surratt, Wayne Goss already and I am happy with what they can do. They are natural hair, teardrop shape, perfect for my eye-shape.

My Stage Door (old) are the closest set to the H eye brush box.

Hermes has a brow brush, a loose, soft oval/dome, flat brush (for metallics?) and a liner.

As long as you are happy with the results & what they do, you are in good shape
& from my perspective, don't fix what isn't broken, as the saying goes..LOL
Chikuhodo was my first set of brushes & they are high performing IMO & they are
beautifully made & in spite of being expensive well worth the investment (own the Z series as
well as limited editions ) & a couple of Suqqu brushes. By the way, the Suqqu lipsticks
are also wonderful. Think they might be at Selfridge's
Interesting before Sonia G started her own brand, she spoke very highly of many of the
Japanese brush brands. Did learn much from her reviews & her testing of various hair types
Will also add Tom Ford, Suqqu & Hakuhudo to the list as well.

Just got the #5 quad. Standard taupe/gray smoky eye. Pigment applied evenly and even just with that tiny freebie brush it was pretty easy to apply and pigmented. No fallout. Color shows up the same in the pan vs on skin.

Is it earth shattering? Not really. But it’s a good product. I think they could have added some heft to the packaging. It just feels a little light ie cheap. But I actually like the asymmetric lay out of the pan.

Also the brush is tucked inside the pouch and has a little slot for it. I thought I didn’t get the brush at first. That’s nice it has a little designated spot. The bristles are actually quite soft for a freebie. Makes me want to check out their new makeup brush line.

It would make a good gift for the makeup junkies in your life but of course it may not be niche enough for them :)

is the slot for the brush in the compact itself or the box?
