Can I check how many price increase does Hermes has each year? Am on ban island, wanted to hold for a while before getting another bag.

Also, for quota bags, even if one has the cash on hand, we still have to spend 1:1 or more before getting the bags unless just taking whatever is available?
The 1:1 spend is to establish yourself as a loyal customer of the brand in order to be “worthy” of the bag offer. It has nothing to do with method of payment or readiness to buy.

I don’t have an SA but yesterday, the SA that was serving me gently told me to continue accumulating my spend so she can propose a B/K for me. She confirmed the 1:1 spend needed to buy a quota bag, that there was no time limit to it.

I think everyone who wants a B/K/C will have cash on hand haha. As @acrowcounted correctly mention, you have to prove yourself as a loyal customer before having the chance to own a coveted bag. Hermès has a lot of beautiful things it won’t be hard to hit the 1:1 spend

Oh the spending doesn’t reset every year? I’m under the impression that spendings reset every year. If it doesn’t then that’s good
 
I met my friends through TPF and we all qualify as Old Guard by now. I haven’t lived in SG for the last 7 years and was only a customer for that long. By year 4 I was offered SO and quota bags without 1:1. In December 2019, I met my SM by chance, at the store when I dropped by to say Hi to my SA and she kindly offered me a choice of 3 C18 and 2 Kelly 25. My last purchase from that store in 7 years was a Rodeo PM, bought by DH on a Biz trip back. So the relationship matters a lot. My friends are now offered mini Lindy, K25, heritage leathers and exotics of all 3 types. My advice
is to buy only what you want, decline the rest, stick to one store, one SA, one SM. One last major piece of advice I wouldn’t post here as no one listens anyway.

Thank you for the “tips”. This is definitely very encouraging to know. Sometimes the journey can be so hard that I feel like giving up. But it is good to know that building a relationship will help with our love for the brand and the bags in long term future. I keep counting the amount I spent and the amount I will have to spend to retain the relationship every year and I get so stressed and guilty sometimes.

Please don’t do that. A good SA will let you know when they have something nice. It works both ways. Nice customer + Good SA/SM =
