Thank you! Oh yes that’s true. She could have counted my pre spend before C18 too. I got mine in sellier.
Agree that my SA has been great to me
Lovely! Congrats! I requested for a B25 in sellier too... Fingers crossed cos I read some articles that claim the B sellier is discontinued. My SA said its seasonal and she said no harm just try to request for sellier. As I have requested for it in gold, she said it will be a 1 year wait. But cos she assisted me to put it in just after i got my QB - I feel it is ok to wait for about a year. Hopefully in this year, i can clock enough for my next QB when the gold B25 arrives.

I think that a lot of people main SA’s are at Taka or Liat, can I ask why there’s not a lot of people shopping at MBS? Does MBS have low stocks? any deets? Just curious hahaha
Maybe because there aren’t much benefits? No taka vouchers and no opportunity to get constance bag without eating into your quota?

Maybe the ones who shop at MBS hardly post on purseforum too?

There are so many reasons why one shop at whichever store they pick. As long as the store and you click with your SA, it doesn’t matter where you shop at.

Personally I shop at LT because Orchard is more convenient for me location-wise than MBS. Tried to walk in to Taka at first but the wait time was too long for my schedule, headed to LT, met my SA and continued to shop there as I really enjoy shopping with my SA and LT seems less crowded/hectic compared to Taka.

Some of the posters in this thread who have been very generous in sharing their experiences have mentioned they shop at MBS (:

Oh that makes sense, location could be one of the reason! Thank you for sharing your experience :)

but, DH did find some great mens RTW at MBS.
in our experience, the buy seemed very different from Liat.
Could you kindly share about your experiences when you mention that the “buy seem very different”? I only ever shop at one place so I haven’t had other shopping experiences at other outlets :D will be cool to listen to other’s experiences haha. No worries if you prefer not to share :)

Sure. DH and I are primarily RTW shoppers these days. our home store is Madison Ave, and a few times a year with a regular SA at FSH.For some reason, we werent able to get some cotton sweaters in our sizes elsewhere that I found at Liat. And, NY (and Manila, Paris, and Liat) didn’t have a really fun men‘s black waxed cotton sports coat with a side pocket zipper detail and some men’s tops that DH happened to find at MBS. It’s not that NY didn’t order these things, but also that our home SA hadn’t even seen them. Since madison reopened, I do have higher hopes for its RTW buy, but we will be making the trip to Asia somewhat regularly, (Liat will be the closest neighborhood store) so it’s nice to look forward to something different.

FSH has unique runway pieces; NY has some runway, but more neutral earth tones, and oddky not as much black. And, Madison Avenue buy is more geared to an UES professional office clothing vibe. Liat and MBS were more color centric, fun and flirty, with an obvious slant towards warmer weather. MBS seemed to have a much better shoe annd sandal selection than Liat or Manila. And, oddly Manila had some heavy ponchos, and cashmere twillanes IDKW. I don’t think air conditioning should make that much difference.

Liat also had a black box calvi when I was there which I thought was unusual. I erroneously assumed Liat clients would prefer lighter color, softer leather calvi duos or silk ins. The new model bags in Singapore and Manila ( like the mens sac depeches 21) were for sale in NY (where we bought one) but display only in Asia. In LOndon last year, when the Getta came out, an etoupe chèvre one was available for sale ( but not in Asia in any location even though its now an older bag).

I personally got slightly more ex pat formal vibe (as well as a bit of upscale mall vibe) at MBS, and a more local casual vibe at Liat, but I’m happy to be corrected if that’s a mistaken impression. MBS clients seemed to be more dressed up with H twillane type clothing. I noticed the jewelry department more at MBS, and briefly wondered if there was more of a jewelry presence bc of the very large Buccellati next door. The line was too long at Taka, so I didn’t bother go in. I should also state that I was there post Chinese new year, and before the new RTW event, so womens stock was depleted. I didn’t get to see the boutiques fully stocked.

I don’t remember too much more. . .and of course these were just my random first impressions  apologies for the lengthy essay

Oh wow thank you for a detailed observation and information! This is definitely helpful because my home store is not in Singapore too. :)
