swift is very soft and buttery. i used to be afraid of it, but the more i use, the more i like it ( I have a swift mini lindy). though it can potentially scratch easily the scratches can also be buffed out as compared to epsom, which will be a permanent scar.

that said, i do see more epsom B&K compared to swift.. but then, i don't think swift is as popular either so you may get lucky and get it fast
Yes I also observed more Epsom B&K in the market. It's a more practical choice I suppose. Am very torn now haha.

I think almost all of us have this “i used to dislike it & now i love it” exp with H. Or at least for me. I wanted to get K retourne too. But i was offered K sellier. I thought i dislike the stiff structured K sellier too. But now i wanted sellier even more hahaha i love the epsom leather bcos it’s so durable. I can wipe off some light rain if i need to cross quickly without shelter (of cos not heavy rain haha). I even dropped my K once frm my seat when i slid myself out frm the sofa in a restaurant. And voila! Like nothing happened!
Yes I get your point. I just saw a Etoupe epsom sellier IRL and it actually looks pretty nice. I think the colour plays a part as well. My wardrobe is mostly light coloured so perhaps a light colour sellier could work for me.

The reason why I don't want Epsom is because it tends to come in sellier style, but I prefer retourne. My SA says to give her maximum 2 combis for my QB. She did say that Epsom is 'easier' to get.
Will Swift leather be soft and slouchy?
Are you looking for a Kelly retourne .
I do think that box calf Kelly retourne is v rare ! If keen for smooth leather only seems like more common option would be swift .
Epsom and togo are popular cox they r easier to maintain And they are the cheaper option first hand + prices do well in the second hand market . That’s why they are so popular in sg. But I personally find that epsom bags doesn’t feel Lux -felt the same as Kate spade/ Michael kor bags that’s why I lost interest in epsom after awhile .

Swift is soft and buttery and nice to touch . Many pink bags are in swift as this leather takes colour best . Esp pink. But If you aren’t careful when you store your bags , the bag might lose its shape. I once left a bag insert inside my birkin 25 and left it there for awhile, it started to develop a line at the back . Hence price wise , it doesn’t do as well in second market . You can get swift Birkins and Kelly at a pretty gd price in the second hand market .
But I would only get swift leather bags in small sizes like b25/k25

Evercolour is a great option but I see it mainly in Constance bags not often in B/ K. Evercolour is nice to touch , doesn’t lose its shape as easily as swift in Constance ( not sure abt B/K) . its fairly scratch resistant ( read that it’s fairly water resistant too!).

Swift is surprisingly hardy, perfect for smaller bags. I would think the bigger the bag the slouchier it gets. With proper storage you can get it to maintain its shape.

Thanks for sharing. Yes I'm leaning towards a K28 Retourne. The box calf Kelly Retourne is just a pipe dream  Will have to get a pre-loved one. I agree that Epsom looks less lux! But have to admit that it is more lightweight and low-maintenance. I saw a K25 Swift IRL, it looks very supple and soft. But any scratches will also be more obvious. Long story short, based on communication with my SA, I seem to have only 2 options: togo or epsom

@buti are you a VIP? You have so many leather options  Just curious have you been offered Kelly in box or Swift before?
I started my journey last year and I’m definitely not a vip. My SA mentioned recently if I would like a box kelly or birkin. But I hate it when my things get scratches, so is a no no for me hahaha. I can’t imagine taking something out of my bag and cause a scratch. It freaks me out, I think is just me lol

I love Hermes rings… rose gold color is so pretty. I first bought cdc ring, then. I bought Kelly ring. Next thinking of getting enchappee ring or galop ring. Anyone has these 2 rings to share their feedback?
Nice! Do you prefer the cdc or the Kelly ring? I have the cdc which I love and thinking of getting the Kelly ring. Wondering if they are different enough to get both.

Hi everyone! Just started my hermes journey at liat towers, purchased a oran and twilly cardholder and got a SA! Have put down wishlist for a picotin and kelly for QB. according to my SA, liat does not have anything in stock and is going by a order basis now. is there any advice on how i can speed up my process in getting my QB and in general for picotin, evelyn etc? thanks in advance! :D

Simplest answer would be to choose and buy whatever is available in the boutique.
