Thank you Julide and thanks for the early bday wish!
Thanks picaboo, and congrats on your scarf too!
Thank you gracekelly! That is strange that it didn't come wrapped, even if customs opened it they wouldn't just throw away the wrapping, right? hmmm.. :thinkin: do you recall marking "gift" when you ordered?

I did not mark it as a gift! Is that what your wrapping looks like? gift wrap? Next time I will be sure to say gift LOL!

I don't know how you will be able to contain yourself and keep from opening. Would drive me  Happy Birthday in advance!!

^ahh.. mystery solved! :smile1: Yes, underneath the bubble wrap I can tell that it is gift wrapping paper. And I am going crazy not being able to open it, once in a while I will hold the box and just pop the bubbles! :D So everyone please post photos of your lovely scarves before I really do go insane!

hahahaha! I think you need to plead with him to open it and at least look at it, but promise not to wear it until your birthday. Too bad I am not there to help you. I used to unwrap all the Christmas presents to see what they were and then rewrap. I was a sneaky kid.:p

:ty:Picaboo! Congrats on your scarf!!:flowers:
GK You crack me up! Leave it to you to know how to unwrap and then rewrap and present...:p
Miffy I agree with GK no wearing until Bday but at least unwrap it. Poor thing, you must be going mad just looking at it...

Interesting thought. I thought it odd that the envelope that was clearly meant to house the scarf was separate from the scarf. However, I think that if Customs opens a package, they stamp that on the outside and mine did not have that nor was it delayed at all at Customs clearance according to the tracking. A mystery.

Oh, mine also came with the scarf out of that tissue "envelope," lol. Not only that, the info sticker on it appears to be opened & redone. And you can see how Mia's scarf was packed in that envelope!

I'm pretty sure the custom opened my package when I ordered a bag from Chanel boutique in London few years ago. It was easy to tell by the way the package looked. But there was no stamp or notice whatsoever. And UPS tracking also looked the same way as the one for this Colette scarf. Breeze in and out of clearance right away.

You should see the way Bolduc ribbon was tied on my box! My 10 year old niece would have done better job. I could not help but think it was redone by a guy at the custom (No female can do it like that, I swear) especially when I bought from Colette in the past.

The ribbon tie is really throwing me off! Mine looked as if it had been done at the boutique and was perfect! Maybe the Customs person used to work in the gift wrap dept at a store LOL!

So funny! Maybe it was opened. They probably got bored seeing the same scarf hahahaha!

Hi hktaitai! Sorry for the late reply. I have been travelling and have limited access to the internet.

Collete is pretty slow in processing your order or even answering any querries but be patient. They do reply. If I remember correctly, I was emailed for requirements a week or so later. Once confirmed, received my goods right away.

Hope you received your ltd edition brides de gala already and enjoy wearing it.

take care!

Hello crispypritchon, may I ask how long it took them to request your passport copy after you had placed an order?

I ordered the new ltd edition Brides de Gala from Colette's The Away Project <http://www.colette.fr/eshop/article/30650794/hermes-scarf-brides-de-gala-the-away-project/> 5 days ago, but so far I've only received one email from colette confirming my order, which says "We'll contact you shortly with shipping details." Nothing came. I emailed them to ask about progress but no one answered. :confused1:

Now I'm worried and would be grateful if any of you colette.fr customers could please share your experience. Is it a "norm" for them to just ship so slowly, or is it possible that they have screwed up again like what had happened to some TPFers before (order cancelled and refunded)...? Many thanks in advance! :flowers:

You are right, Colette is rather slow in answering enquiries. Not sure why but in the end they didn't ask for any documentation for identity verification. The BdG was actually my 2nd order, which arrived about one week after ordering; my 1st order, however, took 16 days (14 days of processing and 2 days UPS to arrive! :shrugs:

Anyway, I love the BdG ;)

Congrats again to all who received the scarf!

Mine arrived 2 weeks ago but didn't have the time to post pics. It came without the Colette gift wrap and the ribbon tie was the worst I have ever seen on an orange box! The scarf wasn't in the waxy envelope (like the previous polka dot BdG I received) which was folded in half and stuck to inside of the top of the cover. Anyway, I digress. The scarf is a delight and here are some pics! :smile1:

I received my scarf 10 days ago and I really love it. What kind of surprised me was the "feel" of the scarf. It did not have those crisp folding lines I'm used to have with new scarves. There were barley any folding lines at all. The whole scarf felt very soft - almost like one of the washed "surteint" ones.

Is it just my scarf - was it tried on many times before being shipped to me or are those special edition scarves different than the regular Hermès scarves?

It looks lovely on you ms piggy! Such a fresh and summery look against the white dress!

Congrats picaboo and Butterfly_77! So glad to hear that it has a softer feel. My only other H scarves are the 70cm and those are so soft. One more week to go until I can open mine and feel it for myself! :p (all the bubble are popped on the bubble wrap! LOL! This is really testing my patience.)
