In addition to what’s already been mentioned… around my straw hat, loosely tied onto my bag because it can get cool some nights (and draped around shoulder), shawl over tank top (i may have shared pic somewhere in this forum)… Nicole Kidman in playing Princess Grace Kelly of Monaco is my absolute inspo for wearing scarves in the summer heat…

Oh yes I must watch that now! If you drape it over a tank top, do you not worry about sunscreen and sweat from the day getting onto it? I’m at the beginning of my scarf craze so I’m still babying my scarves at the moment…

When I was working I would wear my silks & shawls to the office year round. I work in a male dominated field where "they" usually had control of the HVAC temperature setting (cold in the winter & colder in the summer - need I say more?) but I would take off my silks for the summer ride home stuck in traffic in my ragtop Miata .
Now I'm not working so I have switched to wearing my Hermes horn, Touareg silver, and Minerale resin jewellery in summer. I rarely wear silks to go out in summer - terrified of sweating them up....& I really love my horn pieces.

I carry my shawls on days that I know I will be out until the late afternoons/evenings as the weather in the SF Bay Area is notorious for fog and dipping into the 50s/60s after about 3 pm. It's easier and lighter to carry a scarf in my bag rather than a jacket/coat/fleece.

When I'm in warmer weather I usually carry a 90 or 70 just in case I'm in air conditioning. It helps to drape them over my shoulders but I'm not too concerned on how I knot or tie them.

As for accessorizing with silks, I use my 45s more often tied around my neck. When I get too hot, I move it to tie around my handbag or wrist.

I don't have any twillies but I'm sure they would work well in hot weather as well!

When it heats up I tend to wear my silk 90’s, 70’s & 45’s as headbands like @Ghettoe mentioned. Moussie‘s & cotton get neck draped or loosely tied.

I also have some large metal o-rings to use as scarf-as-handbag handles… I only carry light necessaries and am careful when setting it down, but it’s a nice change of pace from leather.
