Picked up this mockneck with the Medor style. I was skeptical since it looked like it would fit an infant but it’s ribbed design, so it stretches…I was worried about my head fitting through lol. It fits true to size and lays nicely. I’d recommend to not go a size larger as the extra fabric caused rolls to appear - no one wants that hah. I love that it’s mostly made with natural fibers - 90ish % silk and a few percent elastane and polyamide. It is a mockneck but surprisingly comfortable once on. Just need to pair with blue jeans and lean into the Steve Jobs chic lolView attachment 6196688View attachment 6196689
So chic! You look fabulous @Gin&H Did you find it at our boutique? I’m swinging by when I return to the States to pick up my navy jacket and I’d love to try that mock neck…I have one from four years ago that also fits well but has a sheen to it as well as various cable designs so feels quite dressy and I’d love a more casual piece.

Yes, it was in our boutique! I was surprised because I don’t think we got the other version last F/w that I had my eye on. Attached the product code and the picture from the website!

Glad to hear your other mock neck has held up well!! I’m hopeful for this one to hold up well too!

I have a question especially to those who used alteration service at Hermes. How long does it usually take for example to shorten length of pants? For example if I go to one of NY stores and will buy pants, can I request length adjustment and can they send it back by mail? I live in the city where closest store is DC and it’s 4 hours drive one way without traffic. Also I really dont like the store and people who work there. I tried to give it multiple attempts and every time it was a disappointment. When I was traveling to France I really like this shirt and pants but this is smallest size and it’s still very baggy on me. So I was thinking maybe I can travel to NY and buy it there and request alteration. But I cannot travel there often. Also I’m not sure if they could do something about shoulders. It looks way too big. But I fell in love with this color. View attachment 6196702
Wow the colour is amazing on you! I can't comment on altering in the US as I don't shop there, but I have had alterations done, always with Hermes' in house tailors, in other stores and especially FSH, pinned, altered and then shipped to me. No issues so far but I don't really go for very complicated things like sizing down items completely. I hope this set works out for you.

Thank you everyone for replies! I might just get only pants then if I will be able to find them. I do love Hermes RTW but my shopping budget is quite modest so I need to justify the price. But that color is so beautiful. Also I really appreciate everyone sharing their experience and posting pictures. It’s so helpful to see how clothes look in real life and with different lighting i

Hi, it usually takes 2-3 weeks for alterations at Madison. I have had them ship me items once completed so I didn't have to make another trip to the store, but my SA facilitated the process. But you can probably arrange that when you make the purchase and talk to the tailor when they come to to take measurements. The other issue may be availability of that particular color... I don't know what the current stock at Madison is but maybe someone who has been there recently can comment on if they saw this there.
that color is there. I purchased a dress from that line last week.

I have alterations done at H madison or at my professional third party tailor. Alterations at H can take a long time, and I just got a call from Hermes for my tuxedo jacket: “Um, can you come back in bc the pin fell out of the sleeve and there were two different lengths discussed, so we want to make sure we got the right one.”:facepalm:

So, I would personally always recommend tailoring close to your location bc there could be a need for a second fitting; you might decide you want to wear the garment with different shoes etc; or, a pin could fall out.

I also recommend picking up alterations, bc there have been cases at H where the tailor forgot to do one of the tasks and where SPA forgot to SPA one of two box Kelly bags brought in at the same time that they had in their possession for months. (This kind of snafu has not happened to me at Chanel).

I believe @Bdbunny does have alterations done long distance (FSH) and has things sent back to her via her local, and she seems to have much better luck than me ;)

Re the silk shirt in particular, I got a 34 which was the smallest at the store. It’s huge. I think if the sleeves were wider, my DH could fit into it. My SA and the SM insisted that it’s meant to be this way. I think I’m bigger than you (I’m a 36 Chanel), but I vacillate as to whether I like being swamped with fabric. Same with the silk pants. They really are like pajamas.

@Angiebbb , I like the soft teal green equestrian jacket, but I’d only wear that color with white jeans or beige in the spring. So for me, unlike gold, ebene, etoupe, beige, or light neutrals, it would be limited in usage. I think it’s too close in tonal value to wear with my lighter blue jeans. Though I think it could be very pretty with this seasons cuffed Gris carbone denim :) If you love the color, I vote yes, why not.

ETA: I was just there and I don’t recall seeing mosaic in red, but I wasn’t looking for it either. I think there was a hot pink section though, not sure (second to last pic). Behind the white suede corset dress, ghillie perforated detail, mannequin.

the mosaique is more of a raspberry color

Could anyone please share their experience with Hermes cashmere jackets? I'm interested in the cashmere version of the equestrian jacket, so if you own that and have thoughts to share, that would be great, too! Though I love the leather jackets, I work in a fairly conservative office so cashmere would be the better option. TIA!

Pros:
1. The double faced cashmere jackets are the softest ever! They are nicer (thicker material and softer) than Max Mara cashmere coats in my opinion. They've kept up great condition in the 5 years I've worn them.
2. Because they're so lightweight (but warm), they're great to travel with.
3. I have had no pilling with my coats at all and I have occasionally gotten them wet for very short periods of time.

They tend to run larger in size (to accommodate thick sweaters perhaps).

Cons
1. The price has become increasingly steeper though. What used to be around 4.7K in 2021 is now 7K+. FYI the resale value is poor and I see it online for as low as 1-2K. You may even prefer to by it new there if you're looking for a certain color or style.
2. They are a pain to dry clean because Hermes likes to have leather details.

@Angiebbb that’d a beautiful color! I think it reads to me as a teal color and like many H colors looks like it is a chameleon depending on lighting based on your two images. I don’t personally dress based on color palette styling (I’m afraid of feeling biased against any items I already have that don’t work haha but that’s a me problem). Based on my google search it looks like that teal or “peacock blue” tone would be beautiful for someone with vibrant autumn color palette.

I don’t have the light colored equestrian but for what’s it’s worth, I do have the a light beige colored calf skin jacket. I just don’t wear dark colored denim with it. But that being said, if I’d did wear dark denim jeans, I would think the color transfer would mostly be on the inside bottom of the jacket. Otherwise my SA told me linen or cotton fabrics shouldn’t transfer. Also, @880 has given sage advice when I was considering my light colored jacket - they’re not for practicality, they’re amazing fantasy pieces! Lol. I think if the light colored or the teal doesn’t make your heart sing, I think that rust brown is very beautiful and you should wait for that one. It may make you feel more carefree when wearing it and therefore help with the cost per wear. Just my opinion but I hope this helps. I’m sure others with this jacket will post their perspective as well! ❤️
Hi dear, thank you so so much ❤️, I actually love both, and especially the teal one, but my husband reminded me I bought two teal blazer in the past 2 years and only wore one once 😅. I also have three blue leather jackets I never touch, so I think it would be best to pass on the teal until I have a more vibrant autumn wardrobe. Since I learnt my colors I try to buy mostly from that palette, but to do an entire wardrobe, it will that time, I still have lots of black, pink and colors that aren’t for me everywhere. 😅I will follow your advice and wait for the brown. ❤️I will probably regret not buying at least one of these, but if they remain unused I will regret it more. Thank you so much! ❤️

@Angiebbb I agree with @Gin&H that it is teal. The color is phenomenal. I personally think it works for any skintone because you can balance it with either neutral tones for everything else or do a black-and-white contrast.

I have a very pale pink leather jacket from this past collection. So far so good, no problems. I was a bit concerned with getting something on the elbows. I’m assuming gentle wipe down can solve some basic issues if needed. View attachment 6196705
Gorgeous jacket, it looks great on you. Thank you so much! ❤️I love both and it will be hard to pass on them, but maybe I need to get the brown first before to see if I will use it enough. If any of these jackets stay in the closet, I can already hear my husband saying: “I told you…” 😅

I saw this set there this week. Are they 34? They had 36 of the shirt for sure. If you would like I can ask about the alterations for you, I will be there tomorrow. I also think I saw this shirt recently online in 34. A stores can also transfer from their warehouse so you can try, but it takes a few days to arrive. The color is framboise, it was in the dark pink section.

I don’t know what type of color saturation they use on their website, because it looks Barbie pink there. It is framboise dark pink and may look like red depending on the light.

Thanks dear❤️@880 and @tinkerbell68, I barely have anything white in my wardrobe (also not my color), also very little beige. I need to stop or reduce using black drastically, so I’ve been wearing a lot of green, red and navy/marine, and the teal wouldn’t work with any 😅. I am the queen of color transfer, it follows me. Thank you so much for all your advice, as @Gin&H suggested, I will get the brown first. Both are spectacular though. 😍

@Angiebbb , the color of this jacket is gorgeous. Depending upon the colors you would choose to wear it with
color transfer might be a concern.
I'd wear this jacket almost all year around. It will look gorgeous with cream, chocolate brown.
What color (s) did H pair it with?
JMO, but any light color jacket or bag is always high maintenance but I'm of the mindset just
wear it & enjoy it..
Hi dear, thank you❤️, the jackets had just arrived, and only the beige was out (it looks craie, but the color is called beige something). I think the teal is malachite. I already know that first day out it will come back stained - I am very clumsy😅, hence best to avoid. It is so chic though… 😍
