Not sure this is off topic but can anyone help share your alteration experience at Hermes? I recently bought the wrap skirt that needs hemming, but I'm worried that the skirt will be ruined due to alteration. My store is small and doesn't have an in-house tailor so I'm debating whether I should send the skirt to the store. If the tailor didn't do a good job, would the store accept return or exchange?
I shop at a store with no in-house tailor and my SA just told me not to use the mail-in option ... You would pay a little at your personal tailor, but it's best to go to someone who can measure you and discuss in person about the changes they're going to make IMO.

My store doesn't have an in-house tailor either, they send pieces to someone who services a bunch of the designer stores in the area. In my experience, H discourages against complicated alterations, but for a simple alteration like shortening a sleeve/hem of pants, they'll do it. I do encourage you to ask that question to your SA. They probably would take on that risk if they send it out for alterations on your behalf.

Quick try on of the cashmere short coat from this season - didn’t take it home, bit similar to something I already own (and also, short people proportions…haha)

I did purchase this short sleeve sweater (forgot to take a photo) - https://www.hermes.com/us/en/product/h-short-sleeve-sweater-H4H2621D3A334/

I took a size 34 and I’m generally 34-36 depending on style / fit. It is a shorter cut, almost cropped, but still worked fine with the high rise jeans I was wearing and I didn’t feel the need to size up.

The striped sweater came home with me. I loved the design and colors and it’s a little loose in the upper sleeve/put area so it’s comfortable. It runs very small! Size 38 (I’m usually 34) I didn’t even bother to try smaller sizes - I assume it may be meant to be a fitted/cropped look.

Does anyone have this white shirt/jacket? This was a size 34 but a little oversized in the shoulders so it wasn’t an immediate yes but it lingers as an afterthought. Is it cotton/washable for anyone that has it?! Or if anyone knows of other labels that make something similar this could make for a great summer jacket
