Ok I just played dress up and put the stiff dress back on, and tried it with the etoupe or bust look as well as with black shoes and black B25. Wearing it with etoupe Oasis and B30 sellier and also KD25. (DH thinks I’ve lost my mind!) I don’t know, I think the etoupe overload kinda works!
ETA: the B30 is Epsom which appears to be less saturated than the KD25 in Togo

I dig this look! Same color but different textures and materials makes it dimensional :)

Sorry I quoted you 2x still learning how to use this! Thank you. I think I will try that on next visit and the dress again! I do think the dress is marinating well, now the harder decision will be choosing color.

Thank you! I will give this a go next tkme. My only concern is the skirt will be too long. I almost didn’t try on the wool dress my SA thought it would be too long but since it was a shorter design it was ok.

That’s so funny! Yeah the 32 gave
me a wedgie haha. I agree, my SA said more styles will be coming out in 32 which is great since this oversized fashion is drowning me! You got the dress in black too? Did you happen to try in the other 2 colors? You’re def helping sell it to me!

I actually saw that color in store but then didn’t have my size, only in the black. I feel like I need to they all 3 colors but the white could match my cape (although I don’t know if I would actually wear them together). The black def looks nice now need to compare!

Etoupe is a great neutral for sure! They didn’t have my size yesterday, but more will be coming in stock in time my SA thought.

Thank you all for your comments!! I think I’ll get this dress just need to pick the color! And I’ll try BDG on too
I only tried the black as it was the only colour that had launched the first day. But I loved how it looked with gold jewelry and easier to dress up - which my SA agreed. Just in the dressing room look what a big difference adding a scarf makes! Excuse the dirty sneakers

I don’t know… received the etoupe belted dress (aka stiff dress) today. I will keep it, but I definitely like the white better. I guess the etoupe feels more like a fall dress (which I guess it technically is FW.) I do like the big pockets on these dresses.

Just wear with khaki, stone, clay and olive over Summer and channel safari

My FSH SA actually just sent me that dress! I didn't see it online, he just thought I might like it. It's en route right now (held up in customs for some clerical reason). It was 4500 euros, so much easier to swallow.
ETA: He did tell me the composition of the dress... he said the polyester makes it "stretchy."
It looks amazing and that was one of the pieces from the runway I really wanted but I just can’t do it lol. That’s way too much for polyester (for me).

I know... I also cringed a bit when he told me the composition... It is gorgeous though. I'll post when I get it. Hopefully the polyester doesn't take away from it IRL!

It's my understanding that many makers, e.g., Issey Miyake, use polyester to produce pleated fabric as it's very difficult to maintain the pleats otherwise; Fortuny's methodology remains a secret. I'm not certain if Hermes does their own pleating now that Lognon has retired (H plisse scarves have recently made a comeback) but I know that there are very few remaining ateliers in Paris that produce pleated fabric. The photos in this clip give a feel for this very special technique, and there are pics of H scarves starting at pic #40. https://www.annelaurecamilleri.com/Corporate-Entreprises/Gérard-Lognon/
