I was told that there are a few heavily embellished at that but that's the top price point, most are less.
But H has me trained because I hear "3K" and think wow, I bet that's really gorgeous and I wonder how it's made
I'm with you IF, I'm going to wait and see. My SM is never wrong about my taste and she said there's one I will love so I'll wait till I can see it in person. If it works with my Kellys and I can afford it at the time, I won't worry about trends because I have a K without a strap and have never found the right one even among the current trends.
You are right it is probably embellished but can not be more embellished than Fendi straps!!
Personally i think embellished or not it is still very expensive especially when H is so late to join the the trend.
I guess, i will change my mind when i see it IRL as H has its way of convincing you to spend big bucks
Are you serious, this is a confirmed price Sorry I don't mean to question you, but more question the unreasonableness of H if they think that's a normal price for a purse strap.

One thing we do know, when Hermes "chases" a trend, it isn't going to be cheap! Think about all the micro and mini bags that they have made to capitalize on the small bag trend. When my SA told me the price of the Mini Convoyer and Mini Halzan, I nearly fell out of my chair! Honestly, with as many people requesting canvas or custom leather straps over decades, I see this as finally giving customers what they want while still capitalizing on a trend. I wish there was the option for a plain strap, but I do like the more neutral colored woven (?) straps shown earlier in the thread. They seem wearable regardless of trend. I'm more horrified by the patterned Bolides. They hurt my eyes.
You can order a plain strap, but the wait is forever.
Leather kelly straps are around $1000. Mine took almost a year to arrive.

I guess I am not really surprised at the price considering the cost of the embellished straps from the other designers.
I'm hoping that once all of the straps come out, some will resemble what the amazone straps are for evelynes, mini evies, and some of the Kellys out there! For me, half of the fun of mini evelynes is the multi colored strap! How fun would it be to custom combo a little bag like that by choosing the bag color and strap color? I know Fendi has a similar service, but it would be an easy win for H to offer a service like that, perhaps in the bigger boutiques. Nevertheless, I am interested to see what the straps look like; many people "customize" their bags with scarves, twillies, rodeos, and other charms anyway, and be sure if I see one I love and will match my collection, I'll probably add to the collection.
