I admit that a super-punk rock strap for a black Kelly could be tempting!

the straps look very fendi to me.

Anyway, H has been very slow to adapt to the market and it lacks original creativity. First the shark bolide - I immediately related to Fendi when I first saw the shark bolide on runway...now the straps....also very fendi to me. And both came out after Fendi had made a big success in the monster peekaboo and the straps.

We (or I) like H because of its quality and the fact that it is not following fashion trends...it stands against time. However, the current direction that H is going or leaning towards make it more like a fashion house indeed.

Finally,.....i do not like H straps (except that for evelyne) because the length is not adjustable! it is rather inconvenient. Do you girls agree?

So I will not pay the high price for this strap.....

I'm on the fence about the straps. Definitely, will need to see them IRL and on one of my H bags to decide if they add anything aesthetically to the purse. I had wanted my Kelly bag to be a cross body, so my SA ordered me a Jypsiere strap, cost me 2K, so I can't imagine the price on the embellished leather straps!!! I believe my SM mentioned that each style would be a 'limited' edition which IMHO is another way of him saying, "they will be very expensive."

I LOVE the Kelly bags in the photos (thank you for posting them) with the multicolor patterned handles. Does anyone have any information on those Kelly bags?

I like some of the straps, however I too feel that they are chasing a trend. Since personalising bags and accessories is so popular now (Fendi Strap You, Gucci DYI) I think Hermès should make SOs more readily available. Imagine being able to create your own bag, without a big purchase history, at your own will. That would still be in line with the personalisation trend but it would still feel Hermès. This just feels like they're trying to take part of Fendi's big success with their straps.

However, I still like the straps and I can't to see how the forum members will jazz up their bags with these new straps.

You nailed it !! Seems that they are trying to catch up with other brands. Fendi was first to come out with these straps, then Dior and other brands are catching up. I thought H left a lot of money on the table by not being proactive. Remember how much more difficult it is to get a canvas strap order a few years back ? harder than getting a B or K and they make you wait for over a year for a canvas strap. Why would I want to pay double the price for a H strap when I can get a Fendi one ? While a B or K is not replaceable by other brands, their strap is not.

Isn't it funny to ignore such demand when they knew first hand now they're jumping onto the band wagon.

Not sure about these but thank you those who brought us pics. I shall keep an open mind, H things are sooo much nicer than in photos. I'd love to be able to buy plain extra straps and so would at least another 1M others.

These straps can probably be shortened if the length is too long. I just don't see a lot of H history or originality in what we have seen so far. How about scarf print straps, or equestrian references? I would use an anthracite Mythiques Phoenix strap on any of my black bags :D
That said, I have mainly Kelly sellier and I am fine with the regular leather strap for those anyway.
