Yeah I was debating over a 32 Choc box Kelly in DFS during my holiday in Singapore this time last year. It was not on hold and just on the shelf. So they do have them occasionally. Have also been offered Kellys in Liat but always from the back.

That kelly was gorgeous !!!!! if i had appreciated Box, i would have snapped it up then.
It's apparently been sold since - *finally* !

I think the toile was with Ardoise (sp ??)
It was gorgeous !!!:graucho::graucho::graucho:

If i cant find my constance soon, i may settle for another kelly :graucho:
I bet it's very pretty! I didn't take a close look at it. A Japanese guy was looking at it and he mentioned about getting a birkin for his mum. And we all know what reply he got from the SA.

There're two kellys on the shelves at Liat Towers two weeks ago. One 28cm Toudra Sellier and 28cm Toile H/Ebene (I think).

Haiyo, I think it's just my luck that I never ever see a Kelly on the shelves. The closest I got was seeing that vert anis KP that was there for such a long time. :sad:

wow...i didn't expect this many responses...thank you everyone for posting. i guess i still need to decide which route i should take. i stopped myself from buying a prada bag because i wanted to get a hermes bag so hopefully i can get one asap.

MrsS, to my knowledge it's only small leather accessories that they transfer right? How about scarves, jewelry (enamel bracelets etc) or RTW - do they allow transfers of those too? QUOTE=pyrexia;6132587

An SA at Liat helped me get a pair of boots transferred to Taka, but it had to go via the warehouse, not direct. Different SAs have told me different things, and I wonder if they all know the numerous internal policies, which aren't all that transparent?

VanillaSkye, was the pair of boots a new arrival from Paris i.e. just cleared customs and hence delivered to the warehouse, and had not made it to the store, even though it was ordered by Liat? There is not enough space at the stores, both Liat and Taka, to have everything delivered. SAs have to constantly go to the H warehouse to 'draw stock'. :graucho:

If it was already in the store inventory, i.e. registered at the store, it would have been as easy as the SA picking the pair of boots up, and walking down the street.

And yes, newer SAs are not familiar with the internal workings of the store indeed.

I think it depends on where the item is located? Like MrsS said, there isn't enough physical space on both store premises to have every single item in their inventory stored there.

For items that are in the store right there and then when you ask for them, the SA will simply walk to the other store to pick the item up for you. My SA once told another lady to return in about 30 minutes to pick up the item she wanted that had to be transferred from Taka.

Ohhh.. the idea of an H warehouse in Singapore :drool::drool::drool: I wanna go take a peek! :laugh:

Just to add on here - I was in Kuala Lumpur this past weekend and was staying right across from the H store, so of COURSE I wandered in. There were only GPs and a couple of Lindy's, although they did have 2 GPs in the new rouge color (which is really lovely)!

Oh, and 2 plumes - I think in 28 - one in a violet color and I *think* the other was bluejean. Also, 3 bolides. One was actually very cool - it had calf or pony hair on the bottom part
