Hermes Price Increase 2012 ??

The MM and the Elan, non exotic.

Prior to this price increase the MM was $7,990 and the elan was $7,300.

Checked the H.com website in AUS, no sign of price increase yet, hope my BE birkin arrive before any increase

I just purchased my elan in epsom from the Madison Avenue boutique mid December, 2011. My receipt reads $7,300 before tax. Maybe yours is a different leather. I can't imagine H charging two different prices in the U.S. for the same bag.

Don't know if the price increase will help but they just published the 25 Most Expensive Stores in the U.S. and Hermes did not make the list. The criteria is based on the average receipt charge from April 2010 to May 2011.

The number one spot went to Oscar de la Renta NYC with an average receipt charge of $3,217. Second place went to Giorgio Armani NYC with an average receipt charge of $2,881. The number 25 spot went to Prada NYC at $1,430.

Must be all the scarf and smaller receipt items that helped them not make the list.

Although honestly I don't believe they're hurting financially in any way shape or form.

Maybe Hermes will make the list next year.

otherwise i would venture a guess that they would be on the list for certain, especially based the the tpf girls!

Relatively a harder to get bag. It is rarely on display in the US. I've seen it a couple times on display in Europe. Very popular among H collectors. I think it's a must have to the H collection.

So Prada and Armani stores are not part of a "chain"??? Their retail model is no difference from Hermes to me. Am I missing something?
