Search Google for [summer soldes +2019]. The dates are set by law; Hermès complies with the legal sale dates for French boutiques. They vary every year, but are generally in July.

Hello. The VIP sale is the 25th and then the public sale is the 26 & 27. Family day is the 28 and the Vente aux Personnel is the 29. They know this far in advance as they must book the Palais. The sale is run by a completely separate division within the company. The boutique staff would not really know far in advance.

would you mind explaining what the Family day is? And I would also appreciate some intel on the VIP sale, which I hear is by invitation only. Do you have to be a VIP in Paris/France or can my local SM do something to get me on the VIP list?

Hello! The family day is for all the Dumas/Hermes family members....all the descendants. Apparently the extended family is quite large. As for VIP day it is not clear to me if it is for France/Europe clients only. I have heard both answers on that. I would certainly reach out to your local contacts and ask if you can get on the list. I do know that the invitations are +1. Please follow up with us to let us know how it works out. That would be helpful.

I did ask my SA for details on VIP day and it seems this is run out of Paris. Even though I am not a VIP I got the impression that even those who are from my country are struggling to get invites through regular non-France based SAs.

I think the VIP day is mainly for customers who shop in France or perhaps Europe. I think that's fair as each country/ region may have their own local sales days. I know that UK has no sales at all so their customers are invited to Paris. I believe the US is gearing up for their own sales.

Thanks @periogirl28. As a U.K. customer I didn't get much traction on an invite to VIP in Paris this year but best to those who did! I was mainly keen for scheduling reasons as I always find treasures on any day of the sales
