I contacted the Center office because I can't find any info specific to H on the web. The mall has not confirmed that H will be one of the 20 new stores (20 new stores, 5 new restaurants). Other store names have been confirmed, but not yet H. They expect to "have the list ready" in a couple of months...sigh...

This does not mean that H is not coming, just that the Center is being cagey. Perhaps there are still negotiations to work out, who knows...

I will post any further info that I get here...can't wait to have another excuse to visit - and a second H boutique to stalk!!

I've asked salespeople at the stores I go to at Stanford Shopping Center and they confirm that the list of which stores are coming is being kept quite secret....they do all say that the shopping center is focusing on having more very high end stores.....here's hoping...

My SA in San Francisco reiterated to me in May that the Palo Alto store is still in the works. She knows that it will be easier for me to get to that store to buy leather items since she cannot hold or ship to me anymore. She did note however that it will be a "small" store. I'm not sure exactly what that means, but it certainly can't be any smaller than the little mezzanine store in the San Francisco I. Magnin where I first started buying Hermes in the early 1980's! :D

Small store size makes me think if the one at SFO. The framing at theory site is starting to take shape. This much easier to access store will be a serious threat to the bank account.

My sales told me the exact thing about the new store. The store has been confirmed but opening date hasn't yet confirmed and that store will be a small one.

OMG, I bought my first H scarves at the I. Magnin mezz boutique - loved that little place!! The NM at Palo Alto used to have a teeny tiny H "boutique" - okay, more like a very small room - remember that? They had a small mix of things, but they closed the little room quite a long time ago and just had scarves. And now those are gone, too - le sigh.

I am confident that there will be an H going in at Stanford, it is just that no one is formally confirming at this point. Kind of lame if you ask me...which, of course, nobody did!

It makes sense to have another Hermes boutique in the SF Bay Area considering the amount of wealth here. However the SF store over the past few years has had terrible stock. My sa told me last time I was in that the manager is now gone and they are to get a new one. She spilled the beans about how the old manager refused to order things and how she believed that what she ordered was the best given the market in SF. My sa expressed her frustration on how this manager would never order enough pieces in bright colors or small leather trinkets such as the animal charms or leather photo holders. The SF store gets a fair amount of tourist traffic so she mentioned how it would be nice to have some small items that sell easily to tourists. I hope the new SF manager and the new Palo Alto store can help expand the horizon for availability of items.

This is very interesting to me, ilovenicebags. It always seems like the SF store is short on leather bracelets and even clic clacs in many combinations. I am curious to see what the Palo Alto store will be like, however my SA is up here so I will stay loyal to the SF store. I wonder if they will have a grand opening...

Really!?!What a good news that she is finally gone! My SA told me similar things too but I haven't popped into the store for 2 months. I may need to swing by soon.

I was looking for a bearn card case and it's been 3 years that the SM never ordered one, or at least a color my SA know I like.

I also heard she was fired but don't know what happened...
