HERMÈS SIGNS LEASE FOR BOUTIQUE AT WATERSIDE SHOPS IN NAPLES
Hermès has signed a lease for a 5,000-square-foot boutique at Waterside Shops in Naples. The new store is planned to open for the 2022 holiday season in the freestanding space now occupied by Ralph Lauren between the Lily Pulitzer and Apple stores on the eastern edge of the open-air shopping mall in Pelican Bay. The Ralph Lauren brand may relocate its longtime store within the upscale mall. “We do not discuss ongoing leasing negotiations, but we look forward to continuing our strong partnership with Ralph Lauren,” says Anne Fleming, general manager of Waterside Shops. Ralph Lauren’s existing 5,997-square-foot building will be partially demolished and slightly downsized for Hermès, according to site development plans filed with Collier County by Naples-based Davidson Engineering on behalf of The Forbes Co., the owner of Waterside Shops. Paris-based Hermès, a manufacturer of high-fashion luxury items, specializes in leather goods, home furnishings, jewelry, perfume, scarves, neckties and other hand-made products, clothing and accessories. The Waterside store will be the second Hermès location for The Forbes Co., which has an Hermès boutique at its Mall at Millenia in Orlando. Hermès has other Florida stores in Miami and Palm Beach.

Woohoo! I was very sad when the previous store in Waterside shops closed! But i am also very confused. From reading this, it seems the new store is going to be a franchise store. I know the previous store was a franchise. When it was closed, I thought Hermes would only reopen as their own store. Now to open another franchise store? Am I missing something?

I absolutely LOVE Waterside Shops!

It will be a company store. Forbes Co. is just the shopping center owner of Waterside Shops and the Mall at Millenia in Orlando. They also own Somerset Collection in Troy, MI which is also getting a new Hermes store.
The wording on that publication is so confusing lol. I’m new to this so to reiterate, the new Naples store will be a company store meaning it is NOT a franchise store? Same with H at Mall of Millenia, that is NOT considered a franchise store? Am I understanding that correctly? TIA!

hello! i saw the above that the official grand opening of the naples store is 17-18 Feb. Can anyone shed lights on if 17th is for invited VIP only or for general walk in guests too?
The store will be open to the public, but no idea what kind of queues there will be for people who do not have appointments. I'm envisioning it could be similar to the Austin opening where the line was hours long for folks without appointments. However, could also not, so worth a try if you're in the area.
