Hermes leather bracelets--worth it or not?

KDT's are easy to wear meaning lightweight. Be sure to get the correct size (not too large) or the lock thingy turns to the underside and stays there.

My K-Dog is ombre -- stunning piece, also light in weight but I reserve this baby for outings.

I know you didn't ask about enamels -- I like some of the designs and have a couple of these as well. If you work at a desk, they will collide on the desk edge. The same would hold true of the clics. If you don't care about scratches to the metal parts then you are significantly less anal than I (probably a good thing!).

I LOVE H leather bracelets. Only have one - a KDT with gold hw - and wear it practically every day. Hope to get a Kelly Dog one day, but think that would be a bit more dressy than everyday.

As most posters said, they are definitely a great investment if you find a style and colour combo that you like and fits well in your wardrobe. And if bracelets are something you wear regularely. I personally wear a few bracelets stacked every day, and I have worn H bracelets every single day since I bought my first about 4 years ago, a Kelly Double Tour. So I agree with some other posters who said the KDT is a great starter piece, I have collected others since then, including a few CDC's which I find to be very practical!! They work great with my wardrobe and my style, and I think they add a great touch of elegance to any look :) Good luck with your search for your favourites!!

I also agree that it's a a matter of personal taste. The only leather H bracelet I have is a CDC, for everyday I prefer other Hermes bracelets that are not leather - the Chaine d'Ancre is a classic that goes with everything, and you can't go wrong with a Clic Clac (enamel). I think in the wrong run, they'll wear/last better, too. JMHO.

agree with everyone that it is really a matter of personal taste and worth...i have 2 cdcs, a few clic clacs and enamels...i only wear my cdcs when i go out socially - it is too rock chick for my conservative office environment!! i wish i work in advertising!! when i wash my hands, i just push the cdc up towards my lower arm to avoid getting wet, if it does i just dry it with the handryer..

I agree with all the postings, but maybe a different angle here--Do you love Hermes and bracelets? Do you want to start thinking about owning Hermes and/or want to start with a bracelet? If so, you should continue looking at H bracelets. But if you don't particularly care about the brand, you can find other leather and hardware bracelets and mostly less expensive. I LOVE bracelets and wear at least three on each wrist/including watch every day but I would not have gone down the Hermes bracelet path if I had not bought a Birkin. Because I am obsessed with H now, I am crazy about the jewelry too--mostly bracelets. Now, I obsess about H bracelets. Up until I owned my first Birkin, I would choose one bracelet at a time to buy and then move on--Yurman, Hardy, Coin, Cartier, Tiffany are a few of my favorites. But NOW, I can't stop looking/buying at H bracelets. My first a few months ago was a KDT in ombre...fabulous. Then, last week I bought a Pavane and a darling double something??? AND last night, I ordered my first CDC. I am so excited about it, I can hardly stand it. I have no clic clacs and will work on that one soon. The bangles don't scream at me so none for now. Okay, I runeth over in excitement. TO ME, it is about the brand and collecting Hermes. When I collected LV, the jewelry wasn't as superb and I could easily walk away (but not their key chains and scarves). Chanel jewelry TO ME, is even better than the bags. (No one hate me please.) But HERMES. She does her bags and jewelry DAMN GOOD! I must have both. I hope I have helped if you haven't fallen asleep yet. Good luck!

Absolutely love the bracelets. They add a great something "extra"....
My favorites are the kelly double tour, the rivale, and the Collier de Chien.
Initially the CdC was a bit "out there" for me, but I really feel that it depends on the leather. The croc and lizard bracelets are gorgeous...especially when softened with the gold hardware.
BTW- I love the enamels, too....almost always wear a couple. Clic clacks, while popular, have never grown on me..I prefer the more under the radar look (that big H was too much).

That's a great point! I love Hermes, but I'm also a huge bracelet person. So I think I'd get a lot out of it. Anyone have a Behapi? That one looks like a good place to start, but if you have a better idea... I think I need to visit Hermes rather than doing the online option.

Thanks fir the feedback so far! You're really helping me! :smile1:

Yes, they worth it.

I have 3 leather bracelets and I wear them all year around.

The first one was the Kelly double tour in Ebène (a gift for my birthday).
Then, the second one was the Rivale double tour in purple.
Last, the third one (my last purchase, to match all my orange scarves) : Looping double tour in Potiron.

Here are the pics.

Personally, I'm kind of undecided-I saw some styles that I thought were cool but thought it was too "rock and roll" for me. This weekend I spotted very "Hermes" looking leather bracelet at Forever 21 and decided to try it out. After wearing it for a while, I can wholeheartedly say that if I was to get H bracelet it would be bright color, maybe in some exotic leather or something. The one that I got from F21 was plain white color and I didn't care at all how it looked on my hand. Glad i had a chance to try something simular before splurging on H. Suggest you do the same

I'd like to disagree very slightly regarding the "rock 'n' roll" vibe of the CDC. Yes, it can certainly be edgy, but if you put it together with a classic look (say, chinos, a white blouse, boots) it fits in perfectly there, as well. I think, like most of the best accessories, Hermes items--be it a piece of jewelry, a scarf, or a bag--can be whatever the wearer wants them to be. They transmogrify in accordance with the rest of the outfit. JMHO.

Sometimes I wear them on the same arm as my watch:

Matte rouge H gator Kelly Dog

Or with an enamel bangle and a clic clac bracelet:

Potiron Kelly Double Tour

Or 2 leather bracelets (white epsom CDC and white epsom rivale) and a clic clac bracelet!
