thank you for saying this. I carry my K28 Ostrich Sellier to dinner all the time. It’s gorgeous, it’s perfect, and in no way does it look too big (and I’m 5’4” and small frame). What century are we living in - am I the only one not getting invited to formal evening events all the time? is everyone else carrying tiny clutches to dinner out? (Is everyone else at dinner even dressed nicely? Are people even allowed to eat out?) I can see a small bag for formal events (right now I use a Constance Wallet as a clutch) - but really, if you love the bag, Love the Bag and enjoy it Everywhere! If you can rock a 32, go for it!

Of course it has to be something you love and will use, but I’m wondering whether your concern is more internal (do YOU love it? Does it suit YOUR lifestyle and needs?) or external (will other people think this is too big? Will it look silly at dinner?).

so true! obviously this being a bag forum, we are all somewhat biased towards thinking of the bag first. BUT its the outfit that needs to work both for the occasion and with the bag, so...I really used to see some horrendously dressed people with very nice bags,

do feel because I am tall the size would look so similar to the 28 prob wouldn't be able to tell much of a difference lol. I am feeling more confident about my decisio

I am a short 5’2” but, unlike the small framed petite posters above, I am medium build, big shoulder cap, and trying to diet valiantly into my old size French 38 which is a US 6 and am roughly a French 40 now). So, perhaps, the mass of a 32 on me is similar to a taller person..,
I also posted a comparison on the thread entitled opinion 32 versus 28, and there are many other TPFer action shots all over the forum.
here are two box Kelly sellier bags 32 and 28, brushed how. Not much difference visually IMO. but the 32 had significantly more interior space (blue gray is 28; prune plum is 32)

I was able to go to the boutique and get offered a Kelly sellier epsom gold hardware in size 32. I had asked for a 28 or 32 and the 32 was offered. It’s been a week and I am now doubting the size I feel the 28 will allow for more evening wear. I don’t know if I should email my SA that sold it asking if they have a 28. I feel awful because he was so nice and I know I got lucky getting it but idk if the 32 is just too big for me? I am 5’7’’. Also don’t know how exchanges work with these kind of bags. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you so much in advance
A relationship goes both ways. The SA needs to sell you something that suits YOU. So many people here seem to be frightened of offending the SA's. This is YOUR money. You're the customer. YOU need to be happy. If the bag doesn't make you happy and if the bag doesn't suit your needs, it's the wrong bag. It will never be right and it will never be worn and it will just end up on some resale counter. These bags are just way too expensive to buy something that isn't what you want and to appease/accomdate the SA. Tell your SA you made the wrong choice. That way your SA will get to know you, what you want and what you like and he/she can find something that suits YOU. You are building a relationship here.
By the way, I have returned bags without any discomfort or embarrassment. My SA has been very accommodating. He also knows that if I return, I buy something else, and I usually buy more. It's a win/win.

I have both K32 and K28 sellier. I am only 5 feet tall and less than 100 lbs and I don't think K32 is big at all. I can't figure out why people think it is big. It is the classic size work bag! Like if you go on a job interview, that is the size you want to carry. Admittedly it doesn't look the greatest when carried on the shoulder if you are a petite girl like me, but it looks perfectly fine on the crook of the arm or hand-carried. That being said, I also love K28 and am hoping to get a retourne next year. To me K28 is a slightly more versatile size and suitable for casual outings. Kelly 20, Constance/Roulis or clutches will be better options for evenings.

I am glad to see you kept the Kelly 32 Sellier. I am 5’2” , size 0, and I love my 32 Sellier. Since you are quite a bit taller, I think it will suit you well. Sometimes smaller bags look better on Instagram, but in real life, the 32 is much more functional and not too large. I have a 28 K in gris asphalt, which is still probably too big as an evening bag, so I agree you would still need an alternate for formal affairs.

ITA. DH loves the 28 box sellier on me as a sexy day bag with a crossbody strap lol. But, if he wants me to carry his sunglasses (or anything else) it’s a tight squeeze and a bit like a stacked puzzle. I just got a 32 box sellier ( it’s currently being weatherproofed) and I have a feeling it’s the perfect day size. I’m 5’2 inches and not petite with a big shoulder for my frame. At my thinnest, it will look a bit oversized in a flattering way. im not a fan of the 28 or 32 for nighttime for comfort, bc in many NY restaurants, the bag is big enough to get in the way ( it’s usually behind me bc it can’t always have its own space or chair.

if you want a bag for evening, you have many options, H and otherwise, at all price points ( I’m also having a metallic H clutch weatherized right now that I got from a Japanese reseller for under 1 K usd. Since clutches are mini these days, I also s9metimes use my BBK longue wallet as a clutch. Looking forward to an action shot of you and the 32.
Hi there could you please tell me where you get your bags weatherized? And what exactly are they doing to it? I live in New York as well. Thank you

I'm 60! and I dont FEEL old
Me either!!
My grandma is 102 and she doesn't feel old...she goes hiking every week, marches in protests, and has been known to borrow my boldest accessories (ok admittedly it's me, so "bold" is a braise alligator CDC but still).
People in their 60s are "kids" in her view.
I'll stay on topic by also pointing out that the craftswoman at Beverly Hills calls her "your grams the pistol".
Anyway if she were at my laptop right now she'd say "y'all are children" :p
