I need help deciding- I have been offered a KP in swift, GHW, sesame. Is sesame too dark for KP? Most of all, I am still not sure of the swift leather. I asked for Mysore when I put in my request but I am told that Mysore is only for SO. So without SO, I am stuck with either swift or croc (not an option for me anyway, too costly), or have to wait in the far future when H decides to produce it in another leather. Does anyone know how likely that would happen?

I have a bias towards swift because it's my favorite non-exotic skin.
I think it absorbs colors really well and looks/feels so luxurious.
I have it on 2+ year old B25s and not a single scratch.
I would go for it if I was offered the same combo. I don't think any color is too dark on a KP - quite the opposite, I'm not a fan of bright pop colors on large bags but don't mind them on smaller bags like a KP.

All boutiques order stock for their store specifically based on their clientele/regional preferences. Probably some element of timing and luck also. I posted here a couple of weeks ago how my SM said that a pink birkin would be easier to obtain than a regular leather kelly cut. I shop very frequently and extensively at my store, and would like to think I have built a really good relationship with my store so I trust their guidance and judgement. I asked about KP in that appointment also, and was redirected that mini K would be a better fit for me because of the strap (not that I'm complaining). Then a kelly cut in my exact specifications appeared a week later.
I don't think there are any set rules, rhyme or reason of why things show up, who they show up for, etc, despite me continually posting on this forum trying to 'debunk' and figure them out.
If they offer you the item of your dreams, in this case KP, and you are thrilled w/ the specs. I would go to the store and run out with it!

Congrats on your KC! I love my KC and wouldn’t mind acquiring another later on. What color and leather is your KC? Do you know what leather do KCs come in nowadays?

I’d like to share my experience also. I’m definitely not a VIP. Met my SA for 3 months and purchased small items and a Lindy. Then, I told him that I want a KP or KC as my next bag. 3 weeks later, he asked me on color preference. I simply replied I’m very open to colors and hardware but just no lime/orange and he said I should like the color. Then I received the magic call after 1 week and it’s a KC rose d’ete in swift. I did buy a watch that day and guess less than 1:1 ratio. I think it’s just luck that the shop ordered one and I was that very lucky gal (but not my wallet cause two bags in 3 months). That’s Feb 2020 and I’m in Hong Kong.
I for one will be waiting to see them. I rarely get to see Jacquemus in reality so photos will be wonderful.
Has anyone seen a matte croc/gator KP? It’s my #1 wish list item. I know to ask my SA/SM, but I’m wondering what you all have seen.
I haven’t seen one, but was told by my SA KP is available in swift or exotic right now.

Bag twins! I have the KC in rose ete too and love it to bits! At first I thought it would look a little dated but nope! Well at least I don’t think so nor do I care because it’s so pretty! And it holds quite a bit. Definitely more than my mini k...lol
