As in any other country, there are always those who can afford to buy expensive goods. I'm sure Hermes did their due diligence when deciding on the location.

Hi there, i was there earlier in the year - you can call up Sofitel Metropole Hanoi Hotel (i.e. in Hanoi) and ask them for Hermes number or redirect your call to them. the prices appear to be somewhat similar to USA as they charge in USD. they have alot of wealthy expatriates living there to justify setting up Hermes there. the SAs are nicer and friendlier than most SAs in other countries i must say... I dont think Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) has any Hermes store yet??
