I'm going to be able to get to Hermes while in Vancouver (woohoo, my first time :yahoo:) and was wondering if anyone could tell me the price of a twilly there? And is there any way to avoid the sales tax? I'm in Alberta, and have heard rumors that if an item is shipped to Alberta, I'd not have to pay PST. Or has the HST taken away that option?

Thanks in advance for any Vancouverite help for a newbie!

I agree, you could buy it in the Calgary store. If they don't have it there, they would do a search and have it shipped to the store so you can just pick it up. They've done it for me before. Like footlocker said, sometimes their stock is better than that of Vancouver.

They used to refund PST if you buy H stuff in another province and you are from Alberta. They stopped doing this when the Calgary store opened because the logic is of course you should just buy from the Calgary store.

The Calgary store is well stocked. And if you want something they don't have, you can ask them to transfer from another store - of course the other store has to be willing to release the item.

On my second visit to the H store on Burrard I had Penny help me and I thought she was great. She let me look through all the scarf drawers :D (although, maybe that's normal?). They sometimes have cookies too.

the H store in Vancouver can only check/share info with other H others in Canada (meaning TO and I think theres one more?)from what I know...HTH

There is one in Montreal and another in Calgary.
