Hermes in Toronto

I have been on my H journey for about 6 months now, and have spent quite a few $$. Of course on the things that I like and use. I was offered a C24, and I have croc B/K on my wishlist.
I have two questions: 1. Is C a QB in Toronto? 2. How long do y’all think I will have to wait for croc b/k?

People say the C is an unofficial QB but everything’s special in TO due to high demand. I have heard it’s easier at times to get exotic bags. It all depends on your prespend. Keep going in and if you are already very high in pre spend slow down your purchases and wait patiently. They want to see that you are going to be a long term customer.
As @Bereal accurately stated, even though TO may not call the Constance a qb in the traditional sense like a B/K, it is still a highly requested bag & almost all the criteria of a QB seem to apply to a C i.e. prespend (may be lower than a qb), it will somewhat extend the timeline for a B/K coming your way and an established SA relationship is needed.
As far as how long the wait might be for a croc B/K, you might probably get a better idea from someone with a similar timeline/prespend as your's on this forum & who has been offered an exotic B/K, everything else is pretty much conjecture so don't lose heart.
In my experience, SA relationship trumps prespend but someone else's experience maybe the opposite and you will see that if you read this thread.
Good luck with your QB, hope you get it soon!

Can you further explain as to what you mean by “SA might want me to keep working on it” are you suggesting that, it’s going to take a while ?
Basically what I was trying to say is that you might need to build on your relationship with your SA, prespend more, and enjoy the time as it goes by. 6 months is very little for a exotic B/K, especially considering the fact that you got a C24 as well.

Hi everyone,

Im new to the H game and would appreciate you sharing some tips with me and your experience.

I purchased a few orans, a tie, some cosmetics and one bracelet for now, planning on buying a k18 belt and a twilly next week.

I changed my SA recently, as the first one just seemed like not for me. Turned out she didn’t even bother to place a Herbag in my wishlist even though she said she will call me once it’s available.

My current SA is good, however it takes her a while to respond to my emails….Also, she asked if I would like to put a Kelly or a Birkin to my wishlist and so we did! But, she told me it’s a 1-3 years wishlist (and as I know there’s no wishlist, it depends on the pre spend and SA’s “desire” to offer it or not.) I asked her if there’s something specific I should keep an eye on, she said no and that I just have to show up and buy whatever I wish (she also mentioned the items shouldn’t be very expensive each time).

What do you think? Please let me know about your personal experience. I love Hermes and will be buying different things anyway, however I’m excited to score a B25. I know it takes times tho! :)

Will appreciate any advice

Hi @yuleechhka,

I think the best advice I can give is to watch and see how relationships with your SA unfold. As you just started working with your new SA, I would take "1-3 years wishlist statements" with a grain of salt. It may be a generic statement based on the current wait time /specs you requested. In addition, Hermes is looking to see you as a regular /long-term client, so many reported that QB offers for those who have been with H for < 1 year are unlikely.

I can't imagine that SA would tell you more openly to come and spend XYZ $, it looks like your SA is already hinting to you that he/she is expecting you to visit the store. Maybe reassess how your relationships with SA progressed after 4-6 months and enquire with your SA on the timelines for a QB again?

I've been shopping with my SA for slightly over a year and have not gotten a bag offer yet. I'm 1:1, which is considered a low pre-spend for Toronto.

My advice is to go at a pace you are comfortable with financially, emotionally and that fits in with your life.

Whatever pace you set generally sets expectations but if you are truly a long term client those may change over time as your life changes. As an example, if a client works across the street they may come in more frequently but if the client changes jobs to the suburbs it’s understandable that they come in less.

You should only buy things you want and love and can afford. Shopping is supposed to be fun.

Don’t go in frequently and buy really small things like a nail polish. That eats a lot of SA time and they are working for a living. But I don’t think you should be buying a lot of things you don’t want or can’t afford for your “profile.” Buy it because you love it and will use the item.

Thank you so much! I am with her since March-April, unfortunately I was away for almost a month and couldn’t visit the store at that time. But I told her about it. She is very friendly as well. Will continue visiting and hopefully will be offered a Birkin in a year or so! Im so excited haha.

That is a very good advice. Thanks!

I am comfortable currently with my spending and everything I purchased so far (not a lot yet).

Hi all, I’m thinking about starting the H game in Toronto. I’m assuming it will be harder to do since there’s only one boutique in Toronto and QB are limited and high in demand. From what I’ve read in this thread, the goal of the game is really to develop a good relationship with your SA & continue to foster that relationship over a long period of time. So stopping by the store to say hi, purchasing small or larger items here and there…

Out of curiosity, I’m wondering if anyone here has spent a large amount of money within the first 6 months 30-50k and have been offered a QB in less than a year?
