April 26 to 29. Is it that bad? There's 2 Hermes no?

Most likely the 1 in the dept store but not sure if the stand alone store will be open. Its a public holiday here but shops are open until 5pm I believe. Be prepared for major crowds, especially in Amsterdam. Fun to see tho everyone will be wearing ORANGE LOL

I would avoid the crowds... It's a big party for us here (for those who like it.. I'm not one of them). I'm not even sure the department store (with an H) is open that day.
It's only on the 27th, however the 26th can be very busy on the evening.

Anybody been to the exhibition yet? I would love to go, but doesnt have any friend who is interested in Hermes so wondering whether it is really worth it to go on my own :shame:

Yes I've been with two of my lovely tPF friends [emoji4]! I'd say definitely go and see it. No problem if you're on your own. More time to ask the craftsman and ladies about their work. If you speak French that's a bonus as they don't all speak English!

I went and it was very, very interesting. Many things to see : how do you make a Kelly, a tie, a saddle, gloves, how you print a scarf, how you put diamonds in a gold bracelet.

Even the person I was with (who isn't in Hermes at all) found it very interesting.

Anyone know if you buy in Amsterdam and claim your taxes before you leave in Paris. The bat refund is based off of Amsterdam right?

Yes. The VAT is off the country you purchase the item.

You cannot detax in ams
Unless it's your final departure stop
You need to produce departure info's
In this case you're still onward to Paris
Do it at your final eu station
