Bumping an old inquiry in case someone else finds it useful. I have an H deco teapot.
It leaks. It did not come with a metal filter. When I put my aftermarket metal filter in, the lid won’t close.
It looks nice, but I almost never use it
How timely this is for me as I was considering either getting the teapot to match my H Deco breakfast cups or another set of the Passafolia cups, I think I’ll stick with my tried and true teapot and get some different cups.

My Soleil teapot leaks as well!! I've had it for awhile but never got the chance to try it out, and yes, just like @880 said, it dribbles down the spout with each pour! Actually quite annoying! My teapot did come with the metal filter, and it dribbles whether or not it's filled above or below the spout.

So I thought I would try out my other teapots that I haven't used lately. I also have a Noritake teapot... it does NOT leak! A little droplet of liquid sits neatly on the end of the spout after the pour and does not roll down! So I thought, ok, the Japanese have their teapots down, let me try this Royal Albert teapot I got from Bloomies years ago, for less than $200 for the whole set. Guess what, that also does not dribble!!! 😲

I have to say, I am disappointed with my Soleil teapot now! It is pretty to look at for sure, but man... you would think H would've figured out how to create a dribble free teapot!

I had put in an order for a few Balcon du Guadalquivir items a year ago and was informed this week some of those were being discontinued. A full year of waiting with a deposit and just like that it’s getting cancelled…

I’m really frustrated they won’t honor an order taken when the items were still in production, makes no sense. I especially had one piece I was really missing to complete my set, the salad bowl, which never shows up preloved either 😭

This Hermès way of never letting customers know anything in advance is once again extremely disappointing.
Please tell me that they returned your deposit to you!!?!

Nope! That’s the worst part. The deposit was made as a wedding gift on the registry we had set up with them, and now they say only the person who gifted the amount of the bowl can get the money back. And only by physically going to the FH store! Or I “can just buy something else with it” as the FH SA told me 🤡

I don’t think I’ll ever be setting foot again at the FH, Sèvres is so so much better IMO.

Balcon du Guadalquivir is a very classic theme, and to be honest, I also have a plate order. I'm very surprised. Is the piece that will not be produced only your order? BTW honestly, Sèvres has always been a place that makes me happy.

They regularly drop items from the collections as they phase them out, they said the salad bowl had been taken out so it won’t be available anymore. Not in stores, not to order either.

I have a H Deco teapot, the large one and mine does not leak, it leaves a small drop at the tip of the spout after each pour like described above. I'm not sure if the issue is with the different sizes, my friend also as the M24 teapot which is a similar design and hers doesn't leak either. Maybe the ones with the design similar to the one in the picture have the issue. Shame though considering the price point but then whatever the cost a product should be fit for purpose.

Oh I’ll have to check out the deco teapot then!
